Great strategy for necro primary/secondary in the arena!
Here's one for if you're a necro primary or secondary and have the elite skill Plague Signet:
When you're fighting in the area with the lakes of lava in it, a good strategy is to step into the lava and use Plague Signet on the enemy. The enemy won't go in after you, but the conditions you have on you will be transferred over to the opponent instead. Of course you'll get new conditions, but mix those burning/crippling conditions w/ any other hexes you have on the opponent and they'll be down to -10 degen for some time.
A great time to use this strategy is whenever your team targets a single enemy and you send the conditions of lava their way making sure they don't run and it'll bring down the enemy a whole lot faster.
It may be a cheap trick, but hey! It works!

I've never thought about that...I don't know about the effectiveness, but I have to say it sounds fun.

ive done that, but not as like a primary strat. i run chillbains+signet of agony+plague sig to make them bleeding and poisned. i just happened to run into the lava once and was like, hey, thats a condition... neway the only problem with it is you have to watch that youre all the way out of the lava or else youll get your condidtions right back, but as soon as you walk into the lava youre slowed. if you play it a few times and learn the exact border of the lava you could probably use it pretty well.

Here's what you do:
Shoot off at least 2 Life Siphons at 2 different targets (if you can shoot off 3). This'll give you at least +6 health regen (if maxed on blood) which will counter the burning condition of lava. When you go into the lava the majority of the time the enemy never runs after you and switches targets to go after someone else.
When your team targets a single enemy, switch on that target and shoot off the Plague Signet. The Life Siphons will keep your life stable enough so the opponent gets those conditions as well. As soon as Plague Signet comes up again, rinse and repeat!

Well, you have to stay in the lava for it to actually be effective, since the conditions wear off pretty fast once you walk out (plague signet transfers all your conditions and their remaining durations to the target. So it's pretty useless to transfer one second of crippled and immolation. Sounds good at first, but then you take in the fact that the arenas you play in are random, so you're not guarenteed the lava. The Chillbains and Signet of Agony combo works pretty well though. Too bad Maryter(sp?) is an elite.

fragility, haha... (yeah, no virulence with plague signet, just giving a general idea of what use a quick condition transfer would be good for..)

Plague signet takes 20 seconds to recharge. Doesn't work all too well with fragilty as you can't do the lava trick very often and it's only 2 conditions.

I like to stand on the edge of the lava and use mend ailment if I need the extra boost to healing. Sometimes warriors follow me in...which is alright, esp if they don't have a monk.

It only lasts for 3 seconds or so right? If it doesn't that's an awful but great trick. I'll have to try it

3 seconds @ 7 pips degen is 42 damage and possible double-triggering of Fragility. It's OK, but I wouldn't do it unless I was suffering from another condition.

something much funner to do in the lava I have found when playing team arena, or even the gvg map, brign restore condition and tell your team when in trouble run into the lava. They now get healed for 2 more conditions worth from mend ailment/restore condition. 14 damage on yourself (maybe) for 140 HP in raw healing is a fair trade IMO.
