To the OP, I've taken down a group of 6 coldfires with 5 smites surrounding me. Maelstrom doesn't interrupt divine boon.....oh whoops, missed that this build doesn't use divine boon.

:> Hee Hee hee...
That's the same sort of build myself for awhile now. I've always preferred shield of judgement, that is an AMAZING skill. Although I can see why people choose to spam boon.
Only difference with my build and yours is that I switched up my secondary to Mo/W for bonetti's. Bonetti's is SO CRUCIAL for me, simply because I get way too crazy and run into a 10-15 creature mob.
I would totally die if it wasn't for bonetti's, and it boosts my energy Whee.
I love soloing. UW is getting boring now though. I haven't found anything ridiculously godly yet. But it's sort of good that way
I already tried fissure, and those monks are a pain in the ass. I think perhaps this build isn't efficient for fissure.
PS - Bonetti's also helps with interrupts. Crucial skills like breeze really aren't good when they're being interrupted lol. I hate when shield gets nuked too b/c of the slow recharge. So it's definitely a good idea.
That is a pretty crazy necro skill btw. I should get that for my necro, I don't think she has it.

Because with other people you can do it faster so you can leave all the shitty PvE behind faster.

Lol, you can have all the demonic remains and piles of glittering dust. Actually I will look for ya in game and I will give you all of mine. That is the only thing that drops in UW anymore.
Also if you pay the 1k entry fee by yourself and get killed then the mission is over. You might want to at least join the person's group.

I've only been doing it for a day or so, and it takes no where near 45 minutes.
30 minutes max, and that may include an error or two.

I wish I could say the same.
I took an elementalist with me last night to try and speed it up.
MAx damage gold storm bow drops for him.
We finished, I figure i'll try again.
Next elementalist gets 3 storm bows and a glob.
Both runs I recieved nothing.

I wonder if the patch last night changed anything. I went on a smite run last night to try out a different build. I got 5 ectos, 3 eternal shields(one purple) and 2 storm bows off of one run. I think I will have to take what I said back. But before last night I didn't get any of that.

ok for those of you who dont know, if you go to the same place multiple times without change, you will be tagged as a farmer and get reduced drops. so after doing about 5-10 runs, quit for a week then come back to it. drops are recovered.

Also have streered clear of SOJ, is basically only needed with Coldfires to help stop them from interupting you. I try not to aggro them at all if I can help it. Because with the build I am running interupts kill you quick, no matter how little dam you are taking. I think interupts kill any builds actually. Especially when you are low on HP. Even at 4 dam per hit 3 at a time is 12 so you basically have 4-5 shots to get a spell of to heal you some, and are still taking some damage. Bonettis doesn't help to evade cast interupts. It only really works with squid interupts.
Best plan is actually 2 man runs. 2 monks one pro/smite one heal/remover
I have someone I go with we can do smite runs in less than 18 minutes, sometimes 15 depending on if we aggro any coldfires.

Besides if you have guildies or friends you can agree to split the proceeds from all drops no matter who gets. So the greed of going solo is a non issue.
Because really what is it other than greed that makes people do things alone in this game?

Solo is really easy despite what you think. I can do everything from aataxes, grasps, smite, to coldfires in under 30 minutes. I do it mainly because of experience to unlock skills (it is hard to unlock 200+ skills with only 2 characters). Also I find it is faster to solo because more monsters attack you = more mana/adrenaline = easier to perform skills.

I dont know how to either.

I don't just clear the chamber and then run out to the smites. I run into the town and take those 15 squids, and possibly some coldfires if the spirts aggro them and I also clear the circle of the 4 aatexes and 3-6 (depends) squids in there as well.
I kill all the regular monsters I can. So it takes a little longer.

Another problem is that I try to be too aggressive. If I'm runnng low on life, I would try to set off the Balth Aura anyway, b/c divine boon enchantment would let me regain some life. But occasionally the bulls still manage to distract me, and interrupt the spell. The "safer" play would have been to spam the divine boon til the life bar is close to full (2 or 3 times). And be satisfied w/ doing 50-75 pts or so of damage from zealot fire instead of the 200 or so from aura.
and pressing the wrong keys during melee doesn't help either. :/

Okay, I have done tons of UW solo runs and it seems this setup works best for my Mo/W although it might have some tweaking left. It also requires more attention at battles because there is not that much health regeneration but it kills faster in bigger enemy groups and maybe in smaller too than Shield of Judgement + Balthazar's Aura.
Attributes
Healing 7
Smiting 14
Protection 16
Divine favor 8
Skills
Divine Boon
Bonetti's Defense
Blessed Signet (you probably can change this to something else)
Balthazar's Aura
Zealot Fire
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit
Protective Bond
Armor set
Full tattoo armor set to get more energy + superior runes to each part.
Weapon set 1
wand +5 energy while enchanted, all skills rechargefaster, chance 9%
-50 hp quest artifact
Weapon set 2
Protective icon +1 to protective prayers, chance 20% (protective bond 2 energy -> 1 energy)
Weapon set 3
Healing ankh +1 to healing prayers, chance 20% (mending +2 -> +3)
Why these skills?
Mending +3 is for Bladed Aatxe bleeding. It adds more safety in generally too. It doesn't matter if there is Aatxes and Grasping Darknesses mixed together. The reason why I don't like about Shield of Judgement is that it reduce adreline because enemy is knocked down. Bonetti's Defense is not that effective. Can't spam that much damage. I have tried it but I think Zealot Fire is faster. At least I kill faster. Besides if SoJ is interrupted you have to wait recharge. Zealot can be casted before battle because of 60 seconds it lasts.
Divine Boon heals 49 health. Your maximum hp is usually 55, maybe bit less like 40 or something when bleeding. Balthazar's Spirit negates Protective Bond 1 energy loss and gives adrenaline each hit on you. That's why it is better than Essence Bond.
Strategy
When you cast Balthazar's Aura, do it while Bonetti's Defense is active to reduce interrupt chance because 75% of melee attacks are missed. Same for Zealot Fire if you have to recast it.
Get lots of enemies around yourself like talk to the ghost and bring Grasping Darknesses. This build kills faster if you have more enemies. Use Blessed Signet while Bonetti's is active if you have to use it. Its casting time is a bit long so Bonetti's won't wear off instantly and you get energy from Bonetti's and Signet. This probably should be used while you are in small enemy group. Darknesses attack rating is fast so try to get them in every enemy you fight to regenerate more energy and therefore produce more damage.
Heal yourself with Divine Boon when hp is about at 50%. If you use Blessed Signet, you regenerate energy faster between battles. Otherwise you have to drop for example Divine Boon to get energy regeneration. Although it doesn't matter much but you can start to produce damage faster when at full energy and don't have to wait adrenaline. Always attack to enemy with your wand, it doesn't matter if it hits -1 damage or -10 damage or -20 damage. Only hitting to enemy matters and you get adrenaline which recharges Bonetti's faster.
Someone posted earlier than don't mix Coldfires and Smiters. I don't understand why? Coldfires use Rust which makes Blessed Signet too slow to cast. You need energy but Coldfires don't use melee so Bonetti's is useless against them. Smiters use melee so they are your energy source while you fight against Coldfires. Although this makes fighting harder because you have to move to avoid maelstorms which interrupt always. Usually smiters die before Coldfires so time your last energy recharge close to smiters dead so you have full energy against weak Coldifres. However, I agree that fighting against Coldfires is quite useless. They drop mostly crap. I usually go there last so I just aggro few Coldfires if they are on way and kill all smiters, teleport to ToA and start again. Don't aggro all Coldfires, you ca avoid most of them easily but few might be annoying blockers so aggro them if you want.
I don't recommend fighting against Terrorwebs with this build. From some reason they kill me instantly after small amount of time even I have all enchantments enabled and health bar full.
