The reason why IW ignores Mist Form has nothing to do with its damage type. Mist Form only prevents damage from attacks. Not from traps, not from spells, not from hexes - and not from enchantments. When you have IW on, your attacks don't hit, but every time you swing, the IW enchantment on you deals damage to your target.

What happens when you use Mist Form with IW? Do you still do damage with IW, or does Mist Form cancel it out aswell? Obviously this would need to be done by stealing a fellow Hydro's Elite.

Unless you know of a way to carry 2 elites, I don't see how you can have this situation.
