Necro's also can be very useful in damage dealing, not just exploiting corpses. With skills like Feast of Corruption (mixed with Sufferings, Shadow of Fear) you are looking at around 130 damage to ALL opponents in that area, Desecrate Enchantments also deals a good amount to all enemies, and adds more for each enchantment on them, and Shadow Strike equaly does a good amount of damage to an enemy. Don't expect a necro to "suck" in PvP and just be waiting around for a corpse to drop.
Little off topic I know, but it tends to irritate me when the generalization for necro's is purely based on corpses. I tried PvPing for the first real time (besides GvG which used to do all the time) in the random arena, and I have to say, my necro actually did extremely well.
Typical W/Mo thread =p (jus kiddinnn)

hey, hey never said they suck. just said that most builds in tombs are essentially 4 people with 3 monks and a corpse necro, so you can actually keep a build basically the same by removing that corpse necro for a runner.

The enchant removal would have to come from someone else, tainted would make martyr more needed, and the defense help from shadow of fear can be significant. The tainted and putrid damage can be very helpful as well. Corpse necro only takes a few skills.. they add a lot to your team and things that you generally have to replace.

One difference to tombs is that in GvG you have different maps, in most GvG maps you cant hide behind walls and each GvG map has some special thing ( the sand, the katapults, the mending water,...). And you normally fight for atleat 10 minutes before you can get close to winning (expecting both teams are good). Even if you're leading 20 minutes in a match.. 1 morale bosst and a rush change the entire thing.
