Super Empathy
I been thinking on improving a way for empathy for those nasty warriors and rangers. Is Empathy + Parasite Good?

Empathy+Insidious Parasite are decent combos and also Price of Failure is also very nice for putting a beating on them as long as their hex removal is sub-par

yeah, but faintheartedness slows down empathy damage.

if your willing to give up an elite get spiteful spirit{E} + insidious parasite they run off the same attribute plus SS is AoE empathy you can get off a second spiteful befor the first one ends get that on 2 warriors in an iway and watch what happens

Insidious Parasite only works on hits that connect, better not to use price of failure with it. And archane echoed spiteful spirits are scary VS warriors.

Insidious Spirit only works on hits. Price of Failure only works on misses.
Those 2 spells work against each other.

as long as you maintain it (against iway mainly, i.e. few monks) it doesnt matter. All it does is give your monks a bit more time to react to the damage their doing.

Mark of Pain activates on YOUR physical hits. Wands won't do the trick, because they don't deal physical damage. You'd need a warrior of your own, most likely, to make use of mark of pain on the enemy. There's no reason that those two skills can't be used together, however.
If you were asking if mark of pain is TRIGGERED by empathy, the answer is no. All mesmer spells deal chaos damage, which ignores armor, but won't activate MoP. Necro is similair with dark/shadow damage, in most cases.

empathy + insidious + spitefull spirit
but not in that order.
another great combo is blind + price of failure
ex: ineptitude + PoF or signet of midnight + PoF.
there are many different ways to go about this. there are just a few.

If you want to make an army of IWAY Warriors crying for mercy... I think it's best to just shut them out rather then trying to kill them [risking killing yourself...]
How about
Shadow of Fear
Enfeebling Blood
Suffering
With the right energy manager skills from mesmer, you've basically 'killed' the warriors by turning off their damage to about 20%. Easily negligible to your team's monk. With high Curses, that's about 40s. of Shadow and 17s. of Enfeebling. Hot stuff.

Thanks, the damage type is never actually described in the skill description. Should've guessed though.

This morning I tried stacking Empathy and Clumsiness... a dumb warrior ignores them and kills himself. A smart one backs off - essentially shutting down for a bit.
