Ranger-Mirror Fight in 10 seconds
I just now beat my mirror in 10 seconds flat. SO thought of posting what I did here to help fellow rangers.
Slot 1-> Powershot
Slot 2-7 -> Nature Rituals
Slot 8-> Empty
As soon as it starts, start your powershots. The mirror starts casting useless rituals instead of attacking you, and if you have a nice fast bow, the fight is over in 10 seconds WITHOUT you getting a SINGLE hit.
Mine was a customized max flatbow with +15% >50%

Or equip all bow nukes, enter the battle with a wand, then switch back to bow.

hunters shot would probably be better here. cheaper. does close to the same damage. recharges faster. i see no downside to it, at least not with those rituals out.

I was a R/W, and had equipped Frenzy, penetrating shot (or whatever it's called), my PET and the rest were traps. He just stood there trying to lay traps with frenzy on, while I shot him up in melee range. Soooo much easier of a fight than my N/Mo mirror.

With a R/Me you can kill it with -10 degen.
Using a pet - Feral Lunge (bleeding)
Using your bow - Apply Poison (poison)
Using DOT - Conjure Phantasm

its a VERY comon strat.
Fill the bar with 7 utterly useless skills for the mirror and one usefull for you to kill it.
The AÌ cant decide what skill to use, you can.

Uhh, no feral lunge as your pet doesn't appear. The skill just takes up space.

Honestly the Ranger mirrors aren't all that good, I mean other classes have a hard time killing their mirror (ppl trying over 20 times in a row) and rangers...
One thing that did surprise me was that one time the mirror came up to me and doing melee damage with a sword I think...

You dont need to use useless skils versus the ranger mirror. Just equip bow specific skills, and stay in melee range. Pin Down, Dual shot, Hunter's shot, distracting shot.savage shot, power shot, debilitating shot, and ignite arrows..... Load those and watch how quick it ends.
As long as you stay in melee range, the mirror will use only either an axe, sword, or hammer. That means that he wont have access to any specials.
Don't use apply poison. That skill works with whatever weapon you use.

Eviscerate->Axe Twist->Dismember->Axe Twist
yes I know dismember and Eviscerate do the same thing, but it was up and axe twist hadn't recharged yet
anyway, under 10 secs, as long as you don't bring heals, and get first hit, you win

This thread is about the ranger doppelganger fight, not a W/R, which is quite different...

-10 degen IS possible, it's the max. What was the point of ressurecting a 3 and a half month old thread to make a false statement?
