Melandru's Arrows
these cause bleeeding which can be a nice advantage and can do up to 29+ dmg when enmey is enchanted but uses up the elite spot
kindle arrows
these do a extra +25 dmg without any requierments but do not cause bleeding and does not fill a elite spot

use read the wind. kindle is countered easily with resistance, wards, something of that nature. the bug is also fixed and it no longer does damage if the arrow misses. you dont want to lose your elite for melandrus because you dont want the target to have enchants to begin with ^^

You just have to think of all the Enchantment Spells across every class...
As for Monks you've got:
- Healing Spells like -- Healing Hands, Seed, Breeze
- Protection Spells like -- Life Bond + Barrier, Prot Spirit
- A few Smiting Spells like -- Balths Spirit, SoH
And most of the Divine Favor spells are Enchantments and a couple of spells in the General line are too
Also Elementalists are usually quite heavy on enchantment stacking -- Armor of Earth, Obsidian Flesh, Aura of Restoration, Attunements, Conjures
Then you have Necro's with their Blood and Death lines and Mesmers even have the odd Enchantment spell
Whenever I've brought Melandru's multiple people will use some kind of enchantment at some point in the match -- in which case Melandru's punches holes right through em and as a bonus can spread bleeding to a whole team
It's dirty cheap at 5e ( 2e with 13+ Expertise ) and you can maintain it indefinately
I think it's one of the better elites on the Ranger line

the problem isnt that a target you are switching to is going to have healing hands or seed on it. the problem is aegis and guardian, making your arrows miss and useless. that means no extra damage and no damage period. which was what i was trying to say.

if you got the space for melandru's arrow for elite... it is a no contest... melandru > kindle arrow.
anyone with an enchant drop like flies... even warriors... if you have the right build that is.

Dual shot with melandru followed by savage, power or blankshot can make the caster cry. With this preparation you can kick even warrior's asses since it is not absorbed by their huge AL.
