HoH support E/ME ANTI-Ranger Spike
Ele/Me
Max water, insp, and rest in energy storage
Blurred vision, spirit of failure, signet of midnight, mantra of inscriptions, res signet
Missing 3 skills, not sure what to put in there.
Basically keep spirit and blurred up on one, and blind one or two others. Try to get blurred to work as AoE by hitting close people. One blurred vision would probably put a big dent in IWAY also.
The reason for this particular way of going about things is because of the lingering/rend enchantments prior to the ranger spike.
Being that this is all hexes and conditions on them, rending enchantments or putting rigor mortis on is pretty much a moot point.
dont underestimate blurred vision, it can stay up constantly at lvl 15 ( minus cast time of 1s), just keep a buffer hex up.
Any ideas here? 3 skills left to be filled. Dont forget that spirit of filure is going to provide enough energy to do pretty much whatever you need.

you need a cover hex and 2 hexes to take out hexbreaker.

Let's hope you aren't interrupted while u are casting ur skills, so i would definitly put Mantra of Resolve in to make it more viable.

I like blurred vision because its almost an aegis that lasts 20 seconds and cant be removed with enchantment rend.
Also I don't think the ranger groups are using any protection monks, if I'm not mistaken its just two heal monks, so hex removal can't be a big thing.
Ward against harm is ok but the HoH winning spike groups are using read the wind and not kindle arrows so the armor buff is really not that great.
I tried this with deep freeze, ice spear, and armor of mist as my other skills and it can do some dmg and also have some escapability.
Guys really I think this could be one of the best counters to power of my ranger and Lara valor's team, or PrP.

Yeah please read the whole post, I'm not an idiot I know hex removal is fairly easy, but the whole point is that blurred vision can slow down the ranger spike. Without all 5 hitting constantly ranger spike is worthless, and again they have no prot monk and lack good hex removal.

#1: WTF is hexbreaker going to do for a ranger if its on the monk.
#2: It's an AoE hex
#3 It's used to disrupt ranger spike. When you see RTW going up or dual shot then you immeditaely blur vision, this should lower the dmg and give your monks time to heal. That effectively stops ranger spike.
#4: thats what hex stacking is for.

SoM is nice, but remember it's touch range. You volunteering to run to their team to apply it?
If you're going for blind, maybe Ineptitude would be safer. Throw epidemic in there too if they're bunched up

Spirit shackles puts them out of business fast. Downside is casting time of 3 sec which you cannot shorten by fastcasting.

just realized that blurred vision was nerfed during the update. Its now adjacent foes instead of nearby foes. That sux.

Don't your healers take hex removal...
Also which hexes are you using to push through the hex breakers on the rangers.

How is this anti-ranger spike again..??
Dual Aegis, Wards, Shielding Hands, RoF and Shields Up ftw
They remove Aegis before spiking..?? Guess who the target is...
Signet of Midnight..?? Being serious...?? Your gonna run up with 60AL and get spiked to bits to put on Blind which will be removed instantly
There's a big thread here:
