Been tinkering alto with mesmer especially. Atm I'm trying to figure out a decent aoe e-denal build.

So I've been using this...

Panic *E
Mantra of Inscriptions - used mantra of signets but it's tougher on the energy
Signet of Weariness
Energy burn
Power Leak
Shame
Drain Enchantment
Res Sig

I've been considering Leech Signet (but even with mantra Power Drain is a much better skill), Guilt, or inspired hex to swap out for Drain, Power Leak or any other.

However the only real AoE here are Signet and Panic. I've been thinking about Fear Me, but a warrior primary wouldnt have enough energy to keep it up, and a mesmer primary would would have a hard time surviving at the front. Or?

Panic really hurts the energy supply at 25e, so I bring alot of energy management. I get the feeling I'm not doing much though, and I need a necro on my team to blanket my panic. What effective builds are there for aoe e denial? I'm getting the feeling you need an entire team geared towards it or it wouldn't be very effetive. Suggestions would be appreciated.

I noticed the build doesnt have any specific healing...
Is it meant to be used in a certain pvp setting?

yes, something similar to this works. yes, air jordan uses it. no, i dont see why he needs a self heal.

to the best of my knowledge air jordan is one person, and he uses echo + signet of weariness + qz from soneone else. that with a w/mo and some other gay mesmers. oh and fertile seasons, definetly.

You can use the much-maligned Keystone Signet for this sort of thing, which also gives you free recharges on Leech Signet and Signet of Humility. With Mantra of Signets, you can spam Signet of Weariness constantly.

An even worse trick in Tombs is to run two mesmers with Keystone Signet and Arcane Mimicry. You echo each others' Keystones, and then do Weariness - Keystone #1 - Weariness - Keystone #2 etc.

A sword warrior with fear me, hundred blades and frenzy, and for great justice for the initial drain, is all you'd ever need for energy denial. I dunno why you mention that warriors won't have enough energy to keep it up considering that it uses adrenaline, and only 4 at that. Mind wrack (outright spamming once they're low on e) works pretty good with fear me as well, though it's helpful to have it on another character since frenzy + hundred blades + the occasional sprint can be pretty rough on a warrior's energy.

Warriors are far better energy denial than mesmers IMO, only reason not to take them over mesmers right now is because of the overuse of warrior counters thanks to IWAY (can't use fear me very often if your oponent is in a ward against melee and aegis'd).

It is very easy to fight those builds with aoe energy drain, its actually kind of fun too. Nothing like deering rank 9 players

Miss Air Jordans build is just flat out altar holding, we played them in hall and we got them down to 3 players. So they fell back to wait for res, we would have taken hall but right at that moment but a stupid IWAY team screwed us, body blocking the altar . . . I hate IWAY . . .

Oh, so I'm not the only one who's thought of that... Too bad. Still, it is massive AoE energy denial. Only provides 20 seconds of the second signet though.

omigosh I know what yukito is thinking.

"this needs fear me"

Switch in the 5e sword and hack away at 0 dmg a pop, spamming fear me for even aoe-er effect.
