Edge of Extinction
Nature Ritual, keyed to Beast Mastery
Whenever any creature dies in the spirit range, all creatures of the same species suffer up to 52 damage.
The standard EoE bomb goes something like this: Put Mark of Protection on one guy, then have the other 7 people on the team sacrifice themselves using a method of their choice. Everyone remaining takes 364 damage.
Damaged enemies will likely succumb to this, adding their 52 damage to the pile and causing less-damaged enemies to die, creating a chain reaction.
The only person who will survive is the one with Mark of Protection, who then uses Light of Dwayna to revive their entire team. If necessary, they just do it again.
It's not a special world effect like the siege in gvg; it's rather the normal effect of the skill Edge of Extinction.

yes, and during the countdown the EoE team could have had the spirit down and their suicide necros or mesmers all ready and waiting to hit ya with some pain.
This is BOUND to get nerfed though. I can't see ANet letting this tactic stay as a legitimate build.

oh i am very sorry, 2 away from HoH... 1st fight.
So you're saying you can sacrifice yourselves while being on the other side of the map? lol.
Note to EoE claimers :
1]No one was near us at all on map or mini map...
2]Game had just sarted, only 2 seconds or so in...
My theory: Hackers or ANET team testing out assasin's invisible cloak build lol.

While everyone is calling you a liar, I'll be nice and say that it probably didn't happen exactly as you remember. I think it bears mentioning that eyewitness testimony isn't very highly valued in most criminal proceedings just for that reason.

the underwolrd map is really i mean REALLY smaller than the rest of the tombs maps.. u can actually hold down crtl or alt to see ya other teams charcs? they could have moved like 5 feet towards the middle..a mes fast caster cast EOE. than boom. bomb time.

Rofl this is getting to be sad, the doors barely had time to open and we all died. (1-2 seconds playing time)
This is what happened I'm not a noob who hallucinated.
It wasn't EoE.

Alternative possibility would be a fluke serverside bug.
Either way, you're a little to eager at pushing the "hax" panicbutton imo.

Do you remember what guild it was? Or some names from opposite team?
Could ask some of them again.
And anyway, if they said it was a god-mode, you can be sure that it isn't. Who would want to get Anet's attention if they were using hacks?

he lied.
*edit*
Did he give any further details other than that? anyone self-centric enough to create and run a hack primarily for personal glory would offer at least some piece of corroborating evidence to make it believable.

I disagree, when this becomes something other than a solitary, isolated incident, it is then raised to big-deal status.

There are 12 maps in the Tombs of the Primevil Kings, with underworld being the first.

Again the Underworld map is the first map in a long series of maps on your journey to the Hall of Heroes.
And yes, you can sacrafice yourself from anywhere on the map at any time, how do you think that minion factories get minions up? someone DHL them to the map?

that's really lame, because people shouldn't be so stuck up about a game, it really ruins the attitudes of it

why would the hacker tell you his secret when it could get him rank 12 in a matter of days by doing it.
oh and i know you can't get rank 12 in a few days... it's exxagerated to show the outcome of using this "auto death" build (or hack) over a period of time.

So you're telling me you can sacrifice yourself(s) from Base A and wipe out all players in Base B beofre the gates are even completely opened? If this is true then ANet has a few things to change IMO.

Since our guild has been doing EoE Bomb quite often i can assure you, the spirits' range is nowhere large enough to reach the other base. It is not even really large enough to reach the stairs when you fire it from under the bridge.
No clue what happened in your match, besides i had another strange occurence happening too. Was in the Hall of Heroes itself and while the introduction was still playing (Gates still closed) the other team allready captured the altar. No, i was not blind, we all saw it. Yes some of us made screenshots, yes we have sent them in. No i did not make one. No i won't go through the hassle of finding a host and uploading one of my other guildmates screenshots just because the GWGuru Community is obsessed with calling others liars.

^ whats said there is pretty much the perception of it, but its probably also worth noting that the range of eoe is bugged/wrong at the moment (in that is still effects people who are outside the range of the spirit, cant give distances but its very much noticable)
y'kno on the other hand, yea could of been god getting pissed off at iway, lalala

Yes, you are right. This auto-death build is around for a few weeks now, That is why eveyone atm complains about it.
if there would be such a build. don't you think that someone else should have experienced it too?
