while doing iway i came across a team that just seemed 2 bomb us 2 death. they killed themselves in the process though. Ive heard they use edge of extinction to do it but any1 got any more info on it?

i know that spirit where everybody has -20% max health must be part of it, when i did iway once, we bombed ourselves to death.... haven't been in iway groups since :P

It's called an EoE bomb, first they use a spell that will quickly kill themselves (like "blood is power") then Edge of Extinction does a lot of damage to your team, then a rezzer uses light of dwayna or another resurrection spell to rez their teammates if the other team didn't die yet

could u run an invincimonk as the 'survivor' in EoE bomb? That might be quite fun...

Or does prot spirit not reduce the damage from EoE.

EDIT: I say it because it would free up space for another elite (assuming the monk would have been using MoP instead)

its usually a mesmer that dies, they use illusion of weakness to kill themselves.

EoE bombs were always so much fun. I ran that back when 7 BiP necroes (who all had Death Nova and Dark Aura on them) and 1 R/Mo were used. Now they have progressed, and use Infuse Health+Illusion of Weakness, etc.

In response to the OP, some IWAY teams do bring Edge to "bomb" people (especially on altar maps). I have always found, however, that it harms them more than it helps.
