I was also working with an assassin's build that revolves around Mantra of Recovery for a fast skill recharge to let your character continue to use his/her combos without delay. I suppose this could work with serpent's quickness as well.

I can confirm that a given type of Ritualist spirit kills existing ones. There is an Elite spirit (sorry, I don't have skill names with me :-( ) that recharges faster than it dies.
There's a really cool non-elite Rt skill that kills a targetted spirit, does ~122 lightning damage to all nearby enemies, and blinds them. Fast recharge too.
So, since you are already turtling, block the entrance with spirits, and when they attack one, kill it to do them damage/blind. Have the aforementioned Assassin port out, attack a few times then use Recall to cripple everyone and port back in. Meanwhile, you cast another spirit to fill the void.
My team(s) was using Spirit blocking + Assassin to great effect over the weekend. If you have a team with enough spirits to keep this up, you should do pretty well, except vs trappers or AoE/EoE.

mantra of recovery is for spells i believe and even if it wasnt i can tell you now that wont be effective throwing your elite into something like that

It is called Rupture Spirit, and it is so sweet when the other team is concerned about taking down your spirits

it may get fixed by the time of the release of this new chapter, but i did see this..... 2 different ritualists in random arenas use the same spirit and they both were up at the same time.
but on the other hand, when i tried to stack these by myself, a new one of the same type killed the old of the same type as soon as it was spawned.

Well, I experienced the contrary: Had 3 ritualists in CA... which had all the same spirits - they just kept killing the each other spirits.
Unless the spirit was out of range of the other same spirit, I don't see how it was possible to work it out.

That's definitely one way. The only other way I could think of is if they are on different teams.
But this 'spirits kill each other' behavior might be exploitable... There are some effects that can occur whenever a spirit dies... I will have to research this.
