But why do spike teams use Dual->Punishing instead of Dual->Quick->Savage? Four arrows is better than three, activates the orders more and gets through Aegis, Distortion, etc better.

Because it's a slower spike, easier for the other team to infuse. If you can't kill someone in Dual -> Savage/Punishing, then they are probably going to be at full health and protted before you get another shot off.

Was watching power of my rangers spike last night and that consisted of 4 rangers, a mesmer and 3 monks. They ran with RTW, Winnow, Dual, Punishing, Savage.

Not sure if the mesmer was running orders on a secondary tho.

This held for quite a while against some pretty stiff opposition.

Sadly to say , we beat both of them with the rigt players.
Of course "Power of my ranger" Pressure us in the beginning , we were going down so fast , We split their team , and they drop like crazy , we won it.

Watch "Neo Hero X " running IWAY N/Mo ...the decent iway team ..
You'll find ot he doens't use OotV and OoP. He holds Hall.

it's the Fast Casting Order, 12+ pts in Fast Casting , reduce the time to cast Order in 1 sec.

At the moment, that prize goes to iA.

They played poorly last night and still held for a while. I watched them in observer for a while and their spike was not quite up to usual standards.

Still... On a good day, they a simply unplayable.

What skills did you use for your screen shot? I'm assuming it is favorable winds, dual, and read the wind...but I see no winnowing and was wondering if you used anything else like judges?

Also what bows did you and JR use for your screenshots?

Hornbow for the inherant 10% armor penetration. It is the *best* bow for ranger spike.

Drago's flatbow for mine. Mainly cuz i dont have a horn bow with a +1 marksman on it.

I prefer flatbows overall though. Fast rate of fire and uber range.
