IWAY has ruined the rank system, so to get in a team, some people like to IWAY so they can start getting into balanced teams.

Well...ahem, i was NOT complaining... If you read what i was saying i was wondering about wards, and whether or not it was regularly used or if it was a new tactic. My questions had thus been answered.

As for the Iway issue, i was just emphasizing how fustrating it is for people to get into Halls because of the rank system and the Catch 21 issue it creates. The whole, "only Rank X, for balanced group", but to get that rank you gotta get into groups that can win for fame to get that rank, and the circle continues. So that is why for unranked people trying to GET rank, the only real option for them is iway pugs, an extensive friends list, or a pure pvp/halls guild. Often they are only able to do pugs.

Anywhoo, i guess its cause i been doing nonstop PvE, and decided to get into PvP from halls to more GvG. Once factions comes out, if Iway isnt completely nerfed i might just leave Halls out of my gaming experience for good. At least ill have a lot more PvE to do, and after, i can always find a GvG dedicated guild!!

Oh, ya and the whole FoTM issue has kinda been left in teh dust in this thread eh? hehe, i guess there are several FoTMs that have persisted for several months...

On the issue of Rank and HoH...

I've tried for hours upon hours many times to get into a group to generate a little fame and build towards rank. I have gotten into two leavings groups, neither of which got anywhere, and have suffered more abuse than I thought this game could dish. The majority of it?

"go farm rank wit IWAY, noob!"

Let's examine this statement. "Farm Rank" should, right away, tell people that Rank is useless for determining skill. As I have stated before, IWAY-ing Rank proves nothing more than that one is a passable axe-wielding kamikaze with a penchant for cruelty to animals.

As for a PvP Guild...HA! Tell that to me when you find one worth the name that doesn't ALSO require r3+ and, for some inane reason, both TeamSpeak and Ventrillo. I can't do either right now, though I'm working on TS, but since I can't get anything to work for me, the only Guilds I can join are the ones populated by seven year olds with a three year old's grasp on everything from the English language to proper combat strategy.

So. There is plenty to the whining about people being inflexible bastards, but there is also nothing one can do about it save cave in, sell one's soul to the Satan of nOOb, and try for an IWAY team. Thus, why nobody but established players can break into competitive play.

Anyways...as far as the original topic goes, I thought Wardmaidens were standard equipment for most any balanced build...at least I've Observed a good number of them in GvG and seen a lot of 'GLF Ward' in Ascent. In between the IWAY spammers, anyways. And since Ward is an element of a build and not really a build itself, I'd say no, it's not a new FotM build.
