Ranger vs. Warrior in the update
Ok.. make sure that you do not misinterpret me here. I'm not whining I'm just plainly asking this.
What is a ranger to do against the warrior now. Not only does he have that nice boosting health shield, they now have a 50% chance blocking.
This really doesn't effect casters. It mainly goes after rangers and other warriors.
What can a ranger do without looking to a second proffesion for help?
I guess I almost knew they would do this.. I have no trouble bringing down warriors in random arenas anyway.
Please help. Thanks.

Pin Down, Throw Dirt, Dust Trap, Barbed Trap, Spike Trap, Cripling Shot. Some of the many skills, and where do you get the 50% blocking from? I suppose it's a skill they use right?
Deflect Arrows is worse .

degen. apply poison, only one shot needs to get through. send your pet after them. take lots of anti-warrior skills and kill the squishes while the warrior pathetically tries to slash at you and your warriors smush him. use arrows that "cannot be blocked".
then again i'm not a pvp person, usually just in pve, and personally i love every single ranger update they've done, the 'nerfs' dont affect skills i use anyway and the boost to pet skills has made my day

Keep the sarcasm/flames out. They just want to know some decent anti-warrior ideas for rangers and discuss the issue of rangers and warriors.

Well welcome to the Guru, Lorwinia
To give some answer to your question, a good amount of ranger strength is his/her ability to stack conditions. Apply poison is obviously your friend here. Combine it with:
Crippling shot (stacks poison and crippled, cannot be blocked or evaded)
Precision shot (extra damage, no block/evade)
Called shot (faster arrow, no block/evade)
Crippling shot is by far (even after this nerf) my favorite for dealing with over-enthusiastic warriors who like to pursue you endlessly. Keep kiting, crippling, poison until you see them trying to use heal signet, distracting shot it, rinse, repeat. They will eventually either give up, or die.
Those are the 3 easy ways to sneak poison in on a target, no matter what stance (or even aegis/guardian) they happen to be using. The only way one of these shots will fail to hit is if your target is kiting and you "miss", so use a bow with a short flight-time (such as a recurve bow).
Also don't forget your ranger stances! Whirling (even though it has a hideous recharge) is a nice evasion stance, dodge as well is nice with the speed boost (just be careful not to attack or it ends).

I've been wondering what a ranger spike team would do to counter "Shields Up" now.
Even after you take out all the target's enchantments, you now need Rigor Mortis and that still doesn't solve the "+50 piercing armor" problem. Besides, Rigor Mortis has a long 30 seconds recharge.
Shields Up has a great advantage over stances: it can be kept up for more than 50% of the time, while stances are usually activated during the spike, too late if its a well synchronized team.
This means a single warrior can keep his entire party almost invincible against ranger spikes for more than 50% of the time.
Suggestions, anyone?

Spike out targets that are outside of the shout range. Spike the shouter when he's waiting for it to recharge. You shouldn't be spiking with Rigor Mortis.

switch to an elemental bow. yes, you'll do less damage, but hopefully more than normal piercing bows + orders.
of course, if the difference is less than the 5 damage from vampy bowstrings, then ignore what i said.
