Pet smite
I faced a team the other day, and I appologize for not remembering the guilds name, but they ran an awesome pet smite build. They had several (if not all) mo/r and they sent in their pets and spammed balths aura. they did MASSIVE dmg to the entire team and ended up rolling over us.
The problems I see with it however are eoe (for pets) and energy management. Anyone know more specifics on the build or have any ideas about it?
PS. after our whole team was on the altar and they all stood on the rez pad and started smiting 1 sec before rez it was commical. We dropped like rocks in about 5 seconds, especially when our dp got up a little bit, we actually were telling them to try to catch us and whatnot just for fun, it was a great build for a lot of teams but I think that well of profane, and eoe would own it.
any thoughts?

It was probably Les Grosbilloux. Maybe they used glyph of energy to fuel the balth auras? I'm afraid im not sure. I wasn't realy paying attention when i watched their game.

It's called Pokeway, a bit of a gimmick to be quite honest. I have seen a few PuG GvG guilds use it. Not a very solid build, but against unprepared teams it will roll you fast.

I thought up a R/Mo pet baths arua build in grotto i dunno weeks ago; anyhow but MINE was based on R's oathshot, My basic build would be...
Seperents Quickness
Throw Dirt
Balths Aura
Oath Shot
Energizing wind
and the rest either be like animal attacks like cripple and what not
basicly you have a perm balths arua with lil energy cost could have a constant serpents quickness and or whirling def....
its got the weakness of frozen soil but i guess you COULD do it with your own bodies...

Les Grosbilloux even managed to hold HoH for a round or two with this frankly bizarre build. The oddest thing is that there is 7 monk primaries on the team, but only the N/Mo seems to pack any heals.

Here is the pokeway build.
He is played with 7 Mo/R and 1 N/Mo heal (or El/Mo heal) and it was invented by Les grosbilloux.

Dear god another person that insists on tagging builds to the Guilds they have seen run them.
Pet Smite has been around a LONG time.

With all the above skill pic, it seems as if the attributes woudnt be full, unless they're putting the rest into beast(makes sense lol). Why not take out one of those smite skills and put in a healing skill to make it more rounded? I've never seen this build in person, but it looks like fun. Maybe healing seed on the pets

Over all after seeing what everyone said about I think it would be a fun build to run, but don't expect a ton from it, the initial dmg is high, yes but you cant maintain that lvl of dmg for an extended perior of time, and when you start killing pets, eoe or well of profane would still own you. I'll probably end up running it, just for fun a few times, but I don't expect to get too far, would deffinatly be fun though.

I have also seen it run with 5/6 mo/r and 2/3 e/mo (Ether Prodigy)..
with the ether prodigy they can easily do balthazars aura and other expensive smite spells like that..

I was running pet smite with BR a LOOOONG time ago. When did Grosbilloux supposedly "invent" this? The skillbar wasn't exactly the same, but the concept was. Anyways, Well of Profane will own a Pokeway group :P, and since any good IWAY runs it, it's not exactly the best build to use. It's just not very economical - Bloodspike does much more spike damage and can heal very well in comparison. The only fun thing is using SoJ to spike through the wall on 4way maps to unsuspecting groups ^^.

Yeah I remember running a version of pet smite with BR also, it was quite a bit different, I think we had 2 beastmasters that were smitten off, but its like JR said, you can rarely assign a build to a guild and vice versa, and although some builds may have been "perfected" by a guild doesn't mean that its theirs or they made it up.
I honestly dont think we will see any "signature builds" untill factions comes out, when people take advantage of the overpowered skills untill the nerfs begin.

We had good fun with Factions stuff this weekend :P Ritualists can spike pretty decently, and the new core profession skills pwned, especially on the monks.
But yeh, going back into hiding for a month......

yeah, we had a bit of fun owning 12v12 with a MM and a trapper teamed up, throw a monk in there and its gg, also was thinking about making a 4 man spike team to take in there and own, its random chaos, if you stick together with 3 others and have voice com up you can dominate assuming the rest of your team isnt a bunch of flaming retards.
