Grenths Balance
I was experimenting with the skill Grenths balance and an idea struck me
If you are At full health, and you use grenths balance on an enemy that is low health, you can actually heal them.
Might This Give you an advantage while holding halls on a 5 team map where on the two sides, you have two teams battleing it off and most teams holding use firtile season to try to get them to surpass the 10 minutes.... Since Grenths balance can be used to heal an enemy, could you possibly use it to hold hallz during the busy times of the day to keep any team from beating each other?
also: another thought
If You have a Mo/N on you team that is around 55hp, that monk could bring grenths balance after a triple infuse, and if that monk can get himself down to around 5 hp using saccing skills, he could start off a spike dealing 50% of an opponents health which could be followed by a mes with phantom taking 70% of an opponents health, meaning that no matter what hp that opponent has (perhaps 480+ 210from firtile 200 vital, and another 300 from symbiosis, meaning around 1000 hp,) you could spike thru them with a couple ranger spikers to finish off the spike......
The Monk/N could protect himself by maintaining prot spirit + healing breeze and the spike would end up being pretty reliable leaving only 4 spiking characters, so you could have a more than descent spike, and have 4 monks.....
What do you Think?

Not bad, not bad.. but its a (sort of) wasted elite spot which could have helped you get to the hall in the first place.

Run the numbers, read the skill descriptions, test it. It doesn't work how you think.

Grenth's balence used to good when it was not capped at your max health, now... it just doesn't work as well.
In concept, it can work, but in actual practice... it just seems to be lacking something. Try it out and see, I find that whenever I have that skill on my skill bar, I never really use it.
Here's a scenario that always seem to happen to me. When I'm at low health, I need to try to find an enemy that's at high health, during which time they could kill me easily since I'm at low health. And if a monk were to heal me, then grenth's balence would be pointless. If the monk doesn't heal me and I try to rely on grenth's balence, then more time than not, I end up getting killed instead.

Problem being = You likely almost kill yourself in the process. and its recharge is long.
Note to people that dont know: Balance works both ways. If you have low health, and they have high health, they lose and you gain. If you are the one with higher health...You lose and they gain.

I had a quick go with Grenths Balance in a necro spike build.
In theory, if your allies are all casting Shadow Strike/Vamp Gaze etc at the same time with very well timed TS spikes. Why not bring 1 necro with GB as the elite. Infuse some random team member a bit then jsut before the spike hit em with GB. That or you could even use it to send em the wrong way.
Cast GB on someone (when you have low health obviously) and all there monks go straight to protecting/healing/SBing that one, then suddenly another team member drops dead.
As Former Ruling said though, you can quite easily get yourself killed been at such low health

I had an idea similar to this that used XX Mo/N with Grenths Balance to spike. The idea is good but it's just not a plausible and effecient spike. The healing purposes of GB is also not that great either.

I once had an idea to sacrifice and make myself poisoned and then before I died switched health with Grenth's Balance adn transfer the poison and then use Executioner's Strike and other good axe attacks to hopefully wipe em out in time. But then I know some PUG monks may be actually smart and use Mend Ailment.

Except it is impossible to spike someone with multiple copies of Grenths Balance.
Seriously, this thread is done.
