This is a very upgraded version of the R/Me Spiker but combine the damage of your weapon spell,Order of the Vampire, and the already high powered shots you have, almost nothing could survive the full spike.
Spike----
1)Necro casts Order of Pain/Vampire
2)All Rangers cast Vengeful Weapon
3)2 second count
4)Dual Shot+Savage/Punishing Shot
Ok the damage would be insane...I'm SO gonna put this together the day factions releases.

Um... Vengeful Weapon steals life whenever an enemy damages you, not when you damage an enemy. It won't contribute to your spike at all.
It's also under Restoration, not Communing. Did you mean Brutal Weapon? That adds damage, but only when you're not enchanted, so it won't stack with Order.

Ok, but I don't see how that would contribute to a spike either, except I guess bypassing defenses a little better.
Would the Order still trigger if all the arrow damage is replaced by lifesteal?

i think that the issue with this form of spike as it applies to GvG is that it ties your rangers into a fixed secondary profession which is a BAD THING. Where are you going to put your enchant removal, your rigor, your charge etc etc? This lack of utility will see your team get beaten by anyone even vaguely half decent.

I agree with Patrograd... making your attacks lifesteal instead of normal damage really doesn't merit the /Rt secondary. And Nightmare Weapon says it reduces the damage, not replaces, so even if you did all lifesteal and no physical damage I think Orders would still affect it.

I agree, that a fixed secondary /Rt for all Spiking rangers is not the best, but the idea of "Lifestealing spike" is nice.
You cant preent lifestealing with anything.
So imagineual Shot+Punishing/savage=3shots from a Ranger
You have for example 4 Spiking Rangers(12shots together)
Combined with an Order Of Wampire, and a Vampiric Bow, its:53+17+5=75.
75 Stealed life from 1 Shot.
You have 12Shots=900, and thats nice(just stealed life).
I Think it could work maybe in Heroes Ascent, but not in GvG.
EDIT:The damge you will deal will be very small, but it will be still there so i it will work with orders(at least i think so)

unfortunately, you can't get the lifesteal up to 53, since that requires 16 spec IIRC.
But yes it still may be a viable build...

Ancient Evil, your math is wrong. Nightmare weapon only affects the next sucessful attack, so it would be 75 damage on only one of the dual shot arrows. The other still deals the regular amount. That isn't really that much extra. Add to this that the rangers need to spec into marksmanship and expertise pretty highly already, and it is completely pointless to even use the ritualist spells.
