ubber? You mean UBER...and no....they aren't. Assassins drop pretty quick for me (ranger) because they try to tank and neglect to play defensively. the weakness of most asassins is their lack of defense. Knowing this is also a weakness to you as an elementalist, you may want to concentrate a wee bit less on attack and a little more on defense. The game is all about balance, and if you are geting curb-stomped by an assassin, you may want to reconsider your build. All too often, players concentrate on the damage dealing of their character and NOT their survivability. I play a character with only 2 attack skills and the rest healing, defense and condition removal. I'm usually the last standing 1v1 while in PvP and never do more than 68 damage per hit...I usually outlast the other player through defense and power management. You might want to consider air and earth magic skills to slow down and spike those assassins...you can blind em and bind em...you can even teleport away from them...you just need to pick a couple skills that make you less an easy target...heck, use a couple fire spells that make you to hot to get near...make him think twice about it. As for specific ele skills...erm...I'll let you do the research (I haven't played an ele in a long time because interrupt rangers kept pissing in my oatmeal). seriously though...you have some good anti-mele and armor spells...pick a couple and see how they work for you...you might still drop, but you'll make em work for it...

Ritualists when used well are one of the most powerufl classes in the game. The ammount of time that gets put into killing defended spirits is just one indication of this.

Well.. since factions i think the pvp is really crazy, sins can kill a maga(ele/monk/mesm) in 5 seconds? Maybe 6?
thats really sux, i am felling like in my old game again when some class get a ubber atack power! Well.. i know sins got a low def, but they can teleport lol
Faction bring 2 new chars, one is rit IMO worst chars ingame for pve or pvp and sins wich they are UBBER in pvp like 4x4! Maybe they are balanced in 8x8 them u can keep 2 monks healing someone atacked by a sin!

Do you know the grammatical tool known as a period? I'm curious.
Anyways...
You said it yourself - the game has balanced PvP. This means every class has a weakness, every class has a strength. You seem to classify each kind of character as being good at only killing certain classes, that's not true at all. Like TwinRaven said, you can't just think that "the best offence is the best defence." You might want to bring what are called snares, or things that slow down your enemy, be them conditions or hexes. Rits are still good, you just need to know how to play them.
Here's a pretty good elementalist build that you may wish to consider (for PvP)
E/
12+1+3 Air Magic
12+1 Energy Storage
Blinding Flash
Lightning Strike
Enervating Charge
Lightning Orb
Gale
Air Attunement
Elemental Attunement {E}
Resurrection Signet
You should try and blind any physical damage enemies you find (ranger, warrior, assassin) the first thing you see them, then cover up the blind by using Enervating Charge (which applies weakness). Lightning Strike and Orb are for damage. Use Gale to interrupt any skills, or just to knockdown a target. Be careful, as Gale causes exhaustion. Always keep up your attunments, they will save your energy.
Assassins can't kill you if they can't see, eh?

Let's say my pve Rt is just fine.
And let's say that in GvG finale, a winning team had 3 Rts. (let's not discuss team build now pls, or other stuff, it's pointless)
And let's say that with My pvp Ritualist, i managed to get 30+ gladiator points already, with little time on my hands that i have.
Ya they suck. Right. Learn how to play.

Ah, the ignorance...
Y'know, people said assassins sucked until everyone found out about it's godly combo.
They said the same about the Ritualist until people discovered Ritual Lord...
Not saying those are the only two, but they are good examples of the point I'm trying to get across...which is that people have yet to discover good builds.

IMHO, sins still fall short to warriors due to:
attack damage output
adrenaline factor > energy demands
deep wound application
KD application
If I were a soft target, I'd be much more afraid of a warrior than an assassin.

You must spend a lot of time in random arenas.

I still say assassins suck. Even when AoD allows attacks of backline targets, sins lack the reliable damage a warrior can bring. They are shut down just as easily, if not more so, as a warrior. A miss of one skill of the 5-skill combo means a 20 second period of doing nothing. It seems like assassins need their skills to do any significant damage.
This goes doubly now that both AoD and golden phoenix strike have been mildly nerfed.
Used effectively, they can demolish enemy flag runners and clear enemy npcs. I suppose they have some spike capability to add to a GvG team, but I'm not convinced of their power as a reliable attacker.

2 attack skill would suck in RA also =P
Assassins are still frail, but can be annoying to chase down. They have great kiting skills. If they take the war off the monk for 5 seconds thats 10 seconds the war is not doing damage.
Rt's are possibly one of the most annoying enemies I have ever come against. The come in a couple of very effective flavours. Rt/Me and Rt/E. Both can pretty much neuter physical DPS on an area effect.

I would like to keep posting my opinion but all the time my post is deleted, still dont know why!
Anyway after the skill change look like they are better, but i still think rt is worst char atm, long cast on spirits, easy interrupted and spirits die VERY easy for a delay of 60 seconds!

Not all spirits have a recharge of 60. You also use Ritual Lord for a 79% faster recharge.

I think you're underestimating the scare factor of a fairly high DPS melee char landing right on top of you with no forewarning..
But in relation to the OP: Things are little different now to how they were before factions: a fire ele is still one of the softest targets for a damage dealer such as a Warrior. If you're so much as suggesting the new professions/skills are overpowered, I think you're gravely mistaken.

Well, if the opposing team is smart enough to notice there are spirits them, they'd probably give a lot to kill them.

Such as breaking lines completely to force you back onto your spirits before they're all up? Maybe, but it is risky. Besides, with ritual lord up, it's not hard to fall back and recast. Or overextending their warriors horribly to get to your spirits? Even more risky, even if they ever get through the shadowsong long enough to do damage. I personally wouldn't give that much to destroy some spirits that can be recast as fast as every 15-16 seconds.
I'd be more worried about people splitting on you than straight up rushing your spirits. Beating you on mobility negates both the spirits and they don't have to give anything.

assassins have different purpose.. than just kill kill.... lets get something straight in head to head combat warrior > assassin given both are backed up by a full team.
now assasins are not made to replace warriors... and you should not think of assassins as warrior replacements. They are ment for what their name implys quick kills and get the hell out...
ganking or soloing purposes in GvG assassins are better than warriors with their energy and teleportation.
sure people hate them but i also agree with the fact that people have not yet fully discovered the full potential of what the assassins can do.
