Ok, I am going to try to be polite here, but what is the point of an "alliance" battle when people are able to get on 2nd accounts and join the opposing team just to sit around and do nothing to steal pointless victories? When you can't even fight your own battles and win, how exactly is there any worth in a victory that is completely stolen?

I am sure I am not the only one who has noticed this. I'm Luxxon and not only several in my guild, but also many others who play during the same time I do, have ALL told me they've noticed this behavior from the Kurz side of things.

How do I know we are being sneak attacked and literally screwed? Try getting on an alliance battle on the Luxxon side around approximately 3 to 4 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. You'll see EXACTLY what I mean. You'll go to get into an alliance battle and the timer will reset and reset and reset before being "joined" by opponents. You'll go out and get a flag, maybe 2 if you are lucky, then boom, boom, boom, boom every and I mean EVERY flag will turn to the opposing team. This isn't a matter of skill or them simply being so uber at pvp we stand no chance. Stop and look around when it happens, easily 1/3 to 1/2 of all of the people on our "side" on our "team" will just be standing around out of the way doing absolutely NOTHING.

I don't know if there is any way for Anet to track this or solve this particular issue but it is one that SEVERELY needs looked into. It's started to become a very significant problem. It completely and 100% ruins any possible enjoyment in this new alliance battle concept when people can do this and do it nonstop.

Just this morning I did 5, count them 5, alliance battles back to back around this time frame, and guess what? The same exact "phenomenon" happened every single fight.

I stopped and asked when back on the island with the rest of the "Luxxons", and I use that name loosely. Over half of them agreed with me and were outraged. The other half were all laughing at me, calling me names, and saying we lost just because I have no talent and can't play to save my own skin.

Is there any way to report this to Anet? Is there anything they can do about it? If not, they are going to see Factions go down the tubes and fast. Afterall, why even bother with pvp alliance battles if you are just going to get stabbed in the back by people with no talent other than playing on two accounts at once?

You can report players through support.guildwars.com.

For what it's worth, many of these players are probably not players with two accounts. They are quite likely just normal people who are looking for free faction. As long as their team does anything at all, they get faction by doing nothing.

It is even likely that some of these players are bots who join groups and just repeatedly try to play to get free faction (making it at least possible that these accounts are bots, which ArenaNet doesn't treat kindly).

While I hope that ArenaNet puts in something to detect players who join battles and proceed to do nothing at all (especially if they do this repeatedly), the best thing I can imagine doing at this point is reporting each offending player you see. Take screenshots.

I agree that it is leechers, not spys. What is the advantage of being a spy? You MIGHT turn the tide of a battle. But you have to do this many times to affect the battle lines.

Suck it up and get better. And choose your teammates wisely.
