You are missing the point.
What myself and others were talking about is how HA forces you to bring junk skills, because of the gameplay mechanics. Spell Breaker is a BAD PvP skill, but you need it in tombs because of the Ghostly... etc.
For your Blood Spike example; against good Blood Spike that pressures your energy it would be far more advantageous for your Infuser to have some form of elite energy management, rather than a skill which will largely be useless. How usefull is SB against good teams? Not very.
"Let's try and spike that guy who just put SB on himself! In 3, 2, 1.... crap."

SoD is a overpriced guardian it is one of the skills you really only run for protecting you ghost against interrupts (though now you take Shields Up or simple take blinding flash to protected against seeking arrows ranger)
Though you don't take skills to fight good teams, you take skills to fast beat bad teams - which kinda is sad :/ but it makes no sense to prepare for the rare cases where you'll fight a good team...

Whilst I agree with the essence of your post, I still disagree. I would rather take skills to beat good teams, and have a bit of a harder time against bad teams. That doesn't really bother me though, because that one good team in ten is the team I am really bothered about beating. However, as covered, HA forces you to take junk skills if you wish to hold.

Isnt the point of putting seed or SoD on somebody protecting that target? Good teams will stop attacking...SO THAT MEANS THE SKILL WORKED!! You just saved a team members ass and they're wasting their time switching targets.

So you are taking an elite to make the opponent tab-space more? Great work.

Also taking it against interupting the ghostly...
All ppl saying that it are junk skills if there wasnt an altar in this game....what if there wasnt any dmg...HEALING GETS JUNK THEN
There are no junk skills on your bar...ofc they get junk if an aspect of the game gets removed...but thats a very bad argument for calling a skill junk:/

It really is a simple argument, try to pay attention.
Spell Breaker is a skill that is bad in any situation other than where there is a Ghostly Hero that you have to baby sit. This is forcing you to slightly gimp one of your monks in order to take it. It simply is not a skill that is otherwise suited to PvP.

Would you take Spell Breaker into GvG or TA?
And if I actually found HA challenging or interesting in the slightest, maybe you would. *cough*

No. But in HA it does make some sense.
In TA you simple lack the resources to run skills that aren't that important, in GvG you can always kite.
In HA you can't kite away from the mesmer that is harassing you. You have a stationary battle. You can't run away from a mesmer, you can't force him to overextend (on most maps, specially the altar maps).
This is the big difference between GvG and HA. So in GvG you would fall back if the mesmer pressures you too much in HA you can't. But you still need to deal with this situation - and that is where spellbreaker comes in handy.
Though if there where no altar map, you wouldn't take it, because it is just a "nice to have" on normal maps. But it is not really junk
That is fundamental different than in GvG. In the hall a battle has a limited time. So if you can force your enemy to attack someone else _now_ all it gains you is time. In GvG time is nearly nothing. If you die now or in 1 minute doesn't really matter. In the hall it can grant you a win.

I think the point JR is making is that Spell Breaker in ANY PVP situation without a ghostly/capture resource aspect is just a waste. To block an elite spot for a short duration, long recharge skill that just causes a target switch is ridiculous. Its like mist form for spells. Please do not suggest mist form is good. Even SB is losing its effectiveness with Order of Apostasy creeping into tombs builds.

You'd rather sub distracting shot for savage shot so the ghostly can interrupt someone once every 5 seconds????? no thanks.
I can interrupt 3/4 second casts 80% of the time, and 1 second casts 99% of the time. The ghostly is supposed to be a little better than players. (just to brag, I can interrupt infuse health with a 50% success rate)

I agree with all the other changes to the ghostly hero, except maybe for disrupting chop, but I'm not going to get into that today. The point I'm trying to get across is that interrupts on the AI is overpowered.
