I think my guild might be interested, though I have a few questions...
Why no teamspeak?
and...
Is this also possible for European guilds?

Great!
I could discuss it with my leader now .
(btw, if Vindexus wants to do this with you, wouldn't it be better to each help different guilds?)

Good stuff JR, hope you get some serious responses.
There isnt enough training going on imo. When we set up [SaS] way back when it was as a training guild, and we had a great record of producing players, with probably half a dozen or more currently playing in top 50 or so teams. if you can produce even one player, never mind one guild, that can play at the highest level then you will have done a great service to the community. I hope that teams out there that might be struggling realise what a great opportunity this is for them and swallow their pride and ask for help

All I can say is good luck dude. I just hope people use your knowledge to the way you intend them to and don't just rely on constant guesting.
I would be interesting just to hear how you would improve an ok rank 1000-2000 guild who have the vital requirement of dedicated players and what advice you would use to try to get them in top 500.
Seriously they should give you a medal made of Ectos

I think it's a great idea.
P.S. You and Vind could each help a different guild, and have both guilds to an unrated match together. IMHO not as valuable as the randomness and somewhat equal matches of the ladder, but probably better for working on specific aspects of play.

Nice idea JR-!
I really think my guild would be interested in this. It took us months to build a decent team...and finally we are getting somewhere...with a ranking ~1200 in the last ladder...
But the start of this season was horrible (fighting 5 ranked >250 guilds, you even see us being slaughtered on OM, and WE are NOT the top 100 guild). There is some individual skill in our guild... but not yet work as a team.
<btw same guild as medion.. you see him above, the TS guy...
Hope we are the kind of guild you are looking for...and hope you can help us to fight at least ONCE in another guild hall this season LOL
EDIT: will discuss this in the guild and drop a pm if positive...

I have most recently been guesting for a guild that was stuck at around 4000, having done a few GvGs with very mixed success. I gave them a build that was fairly straight forward, and guested with them for a few nights trying to pick out their mistakes and where they could improve. Since then they seem to be holding fairly steadily around the 700 mark, still room for improvement but far better than they were. A couple of quite funny and promising success stories with them, such as pulling off an absolutely flawless body block gank on Warriors Isle at VoD.
At the moment I am using them as a rough benchmark of how long it will take to get real noticable results out of a guild, and weighing up whether it is really worth it on a time/effect ratio.

I tend to do the same thing JR just end up falling into it rather then offering. I am not a GvG master by any means but think the need to learn is out there.
My latest guild wants to GvG and well it could be interesting.
Of and for vent and TS, I found vent at high quality to be more accurate and clearer over TS.
Anyways keep helping others and some day we may meet.

This may require another post... But a problem we sometimes have in our guild is not having enough people. A lot of times we are one or two short. Would it make sense to start a - 'Will Guest For GvG' post.
My guild needs all the practice we can get. I find that when my friends from top-ranking guilds show up their advice is priceless.
So, would a `Will guest for gvg' post be beneficial? I mean, how many good players wanna guest for bad guilds is the problem. While JR- is obviously altruistic (or a nut), maybe he breaks the mold. That is, there may not be enough `good' PvP'rs to warrant this `Will guest for gvg' post.
I would hope that the people that replied to the post would actually be willing to offer insight and tips during GvG. Not just `show-up'.
Thoughts?

I would imagine that you would get a fairly good response, the sad thing is that it really wouldn't do much good for your guild. Whilst the players that were there may learn a fair amount you really need to all play together and get used to each other. Taking multiple guests isn't going to allow you to do that, and is also the reason why I wouldn't consider guesting for a guild with someone else in this scheme. This is also why I made being very active one of my requirments; I do not want to put time into a guild only for it to break up due to inactivity.
You would have to be wary of bored idiots signing up to guest aswell, who don't plan on contributing anything.

Great idea.Even with observer mode people dont learn the basics of gvg like movement. All they get is builds which doesnt do much because dont wont know how to play it.I hope people actually take this seriously looking forward to seeing the added quality on the ladder.

i tried to help a friend's pve guild get into pvp, and it took 1 & 1/2 hours to convince a wammo to change to ele secondary and find a player that unlocked mantra of recall. i raged two matches later when i had to run the flag because the flag runner couldn't find the flag in the base.
most of the people that realizes they need help will most likely have figured things out by themselves. i don't think its possible to help those who haven't yet figured out the basics.
good luck to jr.

Being a member of said guild, I felt I should say that the help JR gave us was very much appreciated. The build we used was pretty solid and allowed us to focus more on tactics and teamwork over trying hard to play our build perfectly. And as mentioned, we've all definitely noticed improvements since Jr has been playing with us.
A point I'd like to make that some people might want to know is that he doesn't take full control of the team, and doesn't bark orders or anything like that. He allows us to make decisions, and then will comment on them, or we can ask him for tactical advice if we're not sure, which means that we become better at understanding the game and making our own decisions, rather than just being told what to do.
I'd recommend this to any guild that's looking to improve in competitive PvP.
