Why is IWAY dominating HA?
I can tell you why. No one is complaingin about Dual Smite,Tripple Smite,Necro Spike (after the nerf),etc. builds, why? Cause IWAY is the only build which can totally pwn you and still have their 2 main characters on the other side of the map. All other builds have to actually be NEAR you to do anything (except spirit spammers) and IWAY necros can just sit back and cast OoA or OoP for the whole map. What's up with this? In scarred earth you get that if IWAY is 2nd team you have to fight they just put necros at the doors (trapped of course) and warriors rush in. They get 2 orders up before you even get to them. Yes,I am whining about IWAY if someone didn't notice. I'm just waiting for all these pro IWAY-ers to come here and tell me I'm wrong,go ahead.

How many threads have to be closed before you people get it?... Quite simply, either learn to deal with it like so many people have, or quit playing. The only reason I think iway is so successful is because the roles in iway are clearly defined, and they get the job done when played reasonably well. Anyway, I believe there are hundreds of threads about this if you search for them. I'm not for or against iway, I just don't care, but I am against complainers. *grants self moderator powers*... *closes thread*

I have two answers:
1. PUGs are a very high percentage of teams in HA. Odds of forming a PUG where all 8 players know how to kite are less than one in a thousand. 4 axes at 16 weapon mastery against players who don't know how to kite....
2. Tranditional anti-warrior measures (or at least a large component of it) used in HA are enchantment based -- Aegis, Guardian, and Prot Spirit.

no! another I hate Iway thread! some of them are fun.
with new iway, wards>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>iway.
just keep that stuff up all day and you should be ok, and rush them so you can take their necros. rush, take out necros, put wards up where they start out, kill necros, kill spammers, win.

the new IWAY is just different to the old iway. They have less trapping etc, and no way to stop you ward camping anymore, but they do have a lot more healing and damage prevention. I find that rushing IWAY pretty much owns now, because they only have one trapper and you can take down the necros pretty quick if you are well coordinated.
but yeah ill join in the whining, because its a pain, and clearly gives crap players a chance to win over better ones

When i said dominating I meant in a way that they're winning on most of the maps. Relic maps and Scarred Earth are the hardest maps to fight against iway. Range of those orders is HUGE. It's stupid really. They don't even have to be in fight and they're raping the whole team. I'm starting to think ANet plays IWAY as well. it just ruined the whole game. IWAY stopped creativity and totally ruined Tombs. I really don't see what Anet wanted to do with this Order of Apostasy thing. 1st they nerf it and then they boost it again. Why don't they just change spirits back they were before the nerf,I'm sure spirrit spammers would be happy. Actually, think about that in your new "expansion". Let me repeat once more:
"Whether battling horrific monsters or competing at the highest levels of tournament play, it will always be your skill that earns your victory or defeat."
I don't see any part of that sentence in this game unless they mean OoA as a skill that earns your victory. -_-

I guess part of that skill would be defeating the Iway Pugs.
This has been hashed over again and again, iway is not all powerful, it's a build with many holes in it that can be countered in many ways.

Every build can be countered, what are you talking about. Just cause it can be countered doesn't mean it isn't overpowered. You could have countered spirit spam with EoE and mass AoE,but IT WAS overpowered. And what about part of the skill that should beat "balanced" (this word didn't even exist before IWAY came, but whatever, let's call it that way)? Where's that in IWAY?

i think part of the problem is that a lot of the maps are designed in such a fashion that iway can take advantage of them. UW, burial mounds, scarred, dark chambers, courtyard and sacred all have tight little chokepoints that can be trapped up to offer excellent protection to any caster that doesn't need to be near the fight.
perhaps it's time for a complete redesign of all the maps so that they give a more level playing field and are not advantageous to one build or another.

part of that "skill" is learning how to beat other teams, and that includes iway.
iway now got ALL their offense from the 4 warriors, which were gimped (attack speed redux and no more stacking of tf and iway). the rit and trapper, which just carries weak traps, are defensive,. necros, secluded as usual, defensive.
the tombs iway pre latest nerf was more dangerous than the current one. 4 warriors whacking on high attack speed (33% from iway+ stacks from tf), 2 mainly offense trappers which spread conditions, make kiting almost impossible, pose chaos, break balls and wards (resolve was a sweet skill to use back then and dust trap was a sexy skill), heal party got no recharge, oov and oop can be stacked (the experience numbers most of the time will start to pop when both orders are up), tainted necro existed (if a.net make the 9 man team, current iway will surely take a tainted), the eoe, pred, nr, (winnow). during the time i played tombs hardcore, we didnt even use a martyr trapper nor frozen soil and we won most matches vs conditions/heavy hex teams. 101% pure offense, almost nil defense.
comparing the two iways, you should be able to know how to tackle them.
you should be thankful that the old iway (of course not overpowered, its just powerful in tombs setting) faded. coz if it didnt, youll be shedding more tears.

To be honest, i (and i hope everyone else does too) think you dont have much credibility as an ex-MATH member. Especially when compared to a seasoned tombs-er like Leteci. The good teams have started losing to IWAY (whereas before OoA, IWAY would have no chance in hell against them), which i think is a pretty bad thing to be honest...
