Blind Failure N/Me
Ok, this is not really a Team Arena sort of build, but it can be used in it. I put it here since I don't know where else to put it. This build is best worked against a warrior or a ranger on 1v1 in a scrimmage. I have yet to lose against a warrior for this build. This build is a fun one to mess around with and to frustrate the crap out of your friends.
I have used this build in Random Arenas. It completely shuts down the warrior, but if there is not a warrior or a ranger on the other team, you are pretty much close to useless. Also not as effective if being attacked by more than 2 targets.=-
My stats:
Inspiration:12
Soul Reaping:3
Curses: 12+3+1
My skills:
Enfeeble
Parasitic Bond
Desecrate Enchantments
Price of Failure
Spirit of Failure
Ether Feast
Plague Touch
Signet of Midnight (Elite)
How it is used against a warrior: The warrior will rush up to you. Let him. As soon as he gets there, use Signet of Midnight. Follow up with Enfeeble, Spirit of Failure, Price of Failure, and Parasitic Bond. Then you can re-cast Signet of Midnight. If you are sure he does not have a condition remover, use Plague Touch and wand or staff him.
Against Pets: Use Signet of Midnight against the character then Plague Touch the pet. Signet of Midnight makes you blind as well. Another alternative is to bring Insidious Parasite instead of Desecrate Enchantments and cast that on the pet since the pet does not usually deal massive amounts of damage. I would not suggest bringing Desecrate Enchantments against a W/R or a R/anything but monk or ele. It still will do 64 damage, but not have the added bonus of 21 against enchants.
Against Rangers: This can be tricky. You'll have to run up to the ranger and cast Signet of Midnight. When that is cast use Ether Feast to regain any lost health in the charge. Then follow up with all the stuff you would use on the warrior.
Against condition removel: If it's purge conditions, cast Signet of Midnight, wait until he takes off the blind and then use plague touch to reapply it. If it's mend ailment, make sure you cast Enfeeble after every Signet of Midnight.
Always make sure you keep up SoM. It lasts as long as it recharges, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Counters: Interrupts against SoM. Nothing you can do in this situation. I would run away or spam ether feast until it recharges. It has a quick cast rate, but I have still been interrupted while using it (against a ranger).
Spells. You have no way of defending yourself against a spellcaster. There is also not many spells that can be put to good use in this build against one.
Stalemates: Stalemates can happen a lot against a warrior. They bring Healing Signet and Healing Breeze sometimes and can continously use them to their advantage. Some battles have gone on for over 10 minutes because of this. Might consider bringing diversion or something to stop it, but so far I just wait it out. It might be awhile until they die if they are continously spamming those. When they use Healing Breeze, follow up with Desecrate Enchantments.
This is a 100% Anti-Melee build. Make sure you're fighting a meleer.
Make sure you confirm that you are not using NPC's and are fighting in a clear area.
If there are any suggestions, I'd be please to hear from you.
