No offense to GuildWiki, but their PvP advice and build repository is seriously dated and/or generally sub-par. I think Vindexus recently took up the task of attempting to update it though.
As for Res Sigs, yes, on anything but a Monk.

Rez sig is a very, very strong skill in RA. A good rez can win you the match with ease. The only character who can safely drop it is usually the monk. Off of the monk you have to very carefully weigh the pros and cons. Usually you are better off with the rez sig.
As JR said, GuildWiki sucks for PvP information. You are probably better off getting PvP information from GWOnline.net or The Scribe. They have tons of poorly conceived and butchered builds. Also, I believe Vindexus doesn't try with GuildWiki anymore. They kept removing the stance cancels from his builds and trying to replace frenzy with flurry.

Yea I've been trying to change up guildwiki, especially adding in lots of builds. The problem is that we are forced to listen to effing PvE nubs, and their opinion actually matters on PvP builds. We can't just delete nub comments, and we have to go through many many horrible arguments with well established facts.
And then anyone can edit, so once we edit an article to be good, SOMEONE EFFING EDITS IT AGAIN!!!
/rant, you can delete this post if you want

I'm still trying on GuildWiki, but it's hard. Mephisto has been helping, along with the two other guys who know what they're talking about.
If you can take one skill into RA, take Res Sig.

I feel bad for you guys because Guild wiki is primarily a PvE site and if any PvE'er can edit away your work, I appreciate you for persisting.

Just post bad builds on GuildWiki and let the PvE scrubs fail.

Why should monks not bring a res sig?

Monks tend not to have the free skill slot.

Well, some of us want the general level of PvP to increase...
But seriously, the sad thing is that if we posted bad builds most of the people there would call them decent. Then they would "test" them in RA and call them tested, and then approve them.

great attitude that is..
cant expect the "pve scrubs" to get better if you dont help them..and ppl wonder why pvp ppl have been labeled "elitest assholes".. there is your answer
user note +1 (i expect)
on-topic, rez is your best friend in any situation but that you should know by now
on another note, how many ppl take RA seriously tho? i sure dont, i use it as a testing ground for new builds ect mainly because human AI is slightly better then monster AI

And even more importantly, time spent rezzing is time where more allies may die. If someone died while you were actively monking, how much of a chance do you and your teammates stand when you're activating a 3 second skill?

If you were talking about a hard res I would totally agree. But if you have room for a res sig, and your only worry is that you'll let someone die when you're ressing just do what I do: stop sucking.

That surely must be an incorrect statement, as it implies that at one point in time you did suck.

Apparently you didn't suck when the person died in the first place? I'm not saying someone will die every time you attempt to sig someone, but it's just a really unnecessary risk. Monks don't get an automatic pass to not bring a res sig because their 8th skill is sooo important, they get it because it's a conflict of interest.

Monks usually don't carry res skills because if they stop healing something dies. While this is less common in RA, a good player can kill something in the 3s while a monk uses a rez sig. Try a hard rez and everyone will be dead before you finish.
RA is the place where a monk is most able to carry a rez sig though.

True, but it also doesn't help when the GuildWiki community doesn't accept the fact that some people are better at the game than them. I do hope that they eventually accept advice from good players, don't get me wrong, but it also sounds like good players' efforts are being wasted on a community that doesn't want help.
OT, there's also the fact that lots of RA teams tend to gang up on the Monk first, so the rez sig won't come in handy during those times. Similarly, every other player on the team needs that rez to get the Monk back up ASAP.
