Default Base defenders Passable?

ok, i was wondering if you could get past base defenders and into the rez point and it seems possible with enough hp and monks. I think you need to withstand about 4-5 attacks to get out of aggro?

I need 3 monks to help me test it ^_^

W/R
Skills: Sprint, Balanced stance, Cyclone axe, Endure pain, Defy pain, Fertile season, Symbosis, Optional (Pet mabey to absorb 1 hit)

Usage: Build up Adrenaline on kurz rangers for Defy pain and drop spirits near base defender. Hit Defy, Endure and balanced and run in.

Weapons: 1. Furious axe of Defense & Pvp Tower Shield
2. Hale Staff of Fortitude

Armor: Glads with +1 in Strength helm

Mo/W
Infuse healer;
Blessed Aura, Infuse health, Divine Boon, Divine Intervention(Will work?), Dwanyas Sorrow, Heal other, Healing touch, Heal Area, Sprint

Weapon: Hale Holy staff of Fortitude; 20/20 healing

Armor: Ascetics of coarse.

Usage: Keep warrior alive and restock his health as much as possible. Use Divine Boon before healing for extra hp boost and healing touch to keep hp up.

Enchantment keeper Mo/Me
Skills: Blessed Signet, Mantra of Incription, Mending, Watchful Spirit, Live Vircasity, Vigeorus Spirit, Life Barrier, Life Bond.

Usage:
Once at Base Defender, wack on Enchantments in any order and keep energy up with inscriptions and blessed, easy enough

Armor: Ascetics of coarse.

Weapon: Hale staff of Fortitude.

Protective Enchanter; Mo/Any
Skills: Life Sheath, Life Attunement, Vital Blessing, Balthazars Spirit, Retribution, Judges Insight, Protective Spirit, Blessed Signet

Usage: Cast 4 Enchantments then refill energy with Blessed Signet and then cast Judges insight, Life Steath and Protective Spirit in that order.

Weapon: Enchanting weapon of Fortitude/Shelter

Armor: Ascetics

Usage: Getting to the Base defenders can be difficult but if group stays together, enemies are not likly to target. If Kurzick (Enemy) have a Rez point on Saltspray, base defender should be clear. Cast up Enchantments and Warrior should have around 2k+ health i'm hoping.

Still needs testing as you can see, put ure name down if u wanna help ^_^ and what you want to play (i got warrior) and PM in game under:

Spellbreaker won't work. Neither will having lots of hp, or lots of healing. I have seen the base defense spam the killing skill, faster than a 1/4th of a second. All 4 bone fiends died at the same time, yet the base defender used the skill twice.

Base Defender used to be passable solo on some maps. Used to be able to grab the rez orb, run in, die, then rez and sometimes run past before he could get you again.
They changed it so he attacks a lot more frequently, and as far as I can tell, there isnt a way to pass him now.

Ive tried it with 1 monk and i could only take 1 hit and the 2nd one killed me, but he didn't use the second attack until like 2-3 seconds after the first, enough time for infuse.

The 'Base Defense' attack also cuts straight through any kind of prot.

-remembers the good ol days... death nova bomb with 12 players and 4-5 minions rocked that base defender-

But I doubt that it's possible now, yes I've seen him use it extremely quickly.

easy, get a luxon to stand behind him, take your sin holding the rez orb and tele to that luxon... and see how far you get

i never took the orb, but i have got behind him, where he killed me...

The only thing I saw working was Divine intervention. You survive his attack and are knocked down.

When you stand up he will kill you with another strike.

So the idea was to bring balanced stance to prevent the knockdown: DI saves you...he instantly attacks the second time... So his skill is probably triggered by the KD... and its recharge is insane.

Maybe 3 DI's echoed might tire him down, but I dont think that is worth it

I have killed a base defender, it was with about 8 ppl so i guess he just couldnt cast fast enough

Maybe you could somehow make a corpse still in aggro range, but inside the opposing base and use Necrotic Traversal or Consume Corpse.

Probably won't work, but it could.

I tried using a longbow to hit the defender, and it said, "Target is invulnerable" or something.

EoE bombing, I dunno about that.

nah, nothing works. he is immune to everything(damage, spells, degen, energy degen)

Can you still shadow step in there? I remember during the beta I was using the ele/sin prebuilt and I would shadow step in then nuke their respawning team.

In other words, its just a hidden rule that "no character can access the enemy base and will die upon attempt". Base defender npc is just there for show and to make that rule somewhat less absolute (rather than autodeath msg).

I've seen a sin do it, it was on the neutral map between the kurzicks and the luxons. She used AoD on a guy standing on one of the long parts of the base that isn't near the gate guard and then killed him. Then she started dancing and stepped out.
