EvIL comes out and plays a build that would slaughter any team in mobile play. iQ realises this and deals with it by forcing their NPCs onto EvIL. GG.

THe only people who deserve blame here are EvIL. After seeing iQ play VoD brilliantly twice, they still refused to switch off their Mo/A builds - Dark Escape does nothing for you when your guild lords going down and your hammered on twin -regen sets. WTB Energy Management. At the least a heal other on a E/Mo would have helped but they refused to adapt.

You can criticise iQ all you want for running a griefing build, but they were big enough to accept that EvIL would beat them in mobile play and so set out to change the rules of the situation. That humbleness let them win. EvIL had too much pride and refused to accept that iQ would beat them 8v8 and lost for it.

Additionally Kassad, the money is split - I think you'll find iQ have $25,000 guaranteed to them allready.

Kassad, iQ won, EvIL lost. Doesn't seem any more complicated than that. There are no rules of sportsmanship, it's a competition where you do what you have to to win. Are duel shadow form assassins griefing? How about any of the many other gimmick builds seen in GvG? iQ recognized their oppenents strength and acted to counter it. Brilliantly played, and congratulations to iQ.

Eh, I thought it was a great victory and iQ did nothing wrong with the use of their tactics. Although, I do admit that game 3 was a yawn fest, I had itG's commentator to keep me entertained to make up for it (he was hilarious).

As for people saying how iQ should have fought EviL head on, I don't see how that could have happened since EviL's two Assassins were meant for ganking (this was evident in the first game of the match where they had almost exactly the same build). So even if iQ were to fight at the flag stand "head on" at the start of the game, EviL's two assassins would have snuck into iQ's base to pick off their NPCs one by one while the remaining team would have ran around to distract iQ around the flag stand or cause them to split up to go back to protect base. This would have continued until VoD came and EviL would have been expecting a number advantage in NPCs. Could you really call the combination of ganking and distracting "fighting head on"? Don't think so.

That's all I have to say about that.

heh, iQ used the element of suprise to their advantage. The only thing I don't understand is why EvIL did not change their build knowing what iQ was going to run for Match 3. Boggles my mind that they best guild in GW would make a mistake like that. iQ killed the Guild Lord first, and that is all that matters in GvG. It doesn't matter if they were outplayed or not for 30+ minutes. I still don't understand how iB could have lost game 1 to them though when I go back and look at it =/

If you noticed, the night before my Guild (Flying Purple People lol) used the same Tactics vs XoO Ladder on Obs Mode (Turtling the whole game, and using VoD to win) - So I can't say anything negative about it or fear being a hypocrit. lol.

The VoD battles were intense though, good stuff.

I hope its a joke :\

But VoD is Victory or Death, an effect that decreases your HP and increases Damage done. Also it makes all NPCs go to the flagstand except the Guild Lord. Happens at 30 minutes. The Lord also loses most of its defenses by this point.

at 35min the Guild Lord starts to walk to the stand too.

iQ advancing to the finals was pleasantly surprising, considering their previous records in the GWWC and the three seasonals. I think this is the first time an American guild has even gotten this far, so good job iQ!

We've already had an all-Euro final, and of course no shortage of all-Korean finals, so now if Te can win their semi-finals match against WM, we can have our first all-American final.
