Please any other luxons describe how your AB battles are going right now?

Yeah, I've had the same impression. I won every match I was in this morning against the Kurzicks. Of course, I could just be getting lucky and having good teams, but I have to think something is a bit wonky with the algorithm. Or maybe it's just heavily weighted so that wild swings are now going to be normal.
Is there a published explanation of how the new algorithm works?

This situation is bad there... there are several teams of suicide score bringers on both sides. It ruins the game. What they do is join a team and suicide on a res point instantly resing and repeating the process and granting the opposing team points.
Its wrong... I don't care how you look at it its wrong.
Suicide Squads = FTW... there is no honor there...

Whats your point? I've won plenty matches in a row against the Luxons and still been pushed back.

the map is decided on the whole of guild wars AB's in each district so even if you have won ten theres thousands of battles that morning that went on.

Does the frontier line track across all regions or is it different? If it tracks then it's probably not a bug. If it doesn't (or never did) then maybe it's a bug.
As for algorithm bugs, I've been a SW engineer for 12 years and in that time I've seen a lot of well designed systems/algorithms exhibit unforseen behaviors. Typically this occurs because the designer also did the testing and didn't think about a case. Or the design team didn't have an adequate testbed to test the algorithm. I think ANet is firmly in the second case.
Honestly, how could ANet possibly test this? How do you duplicate the actions of tens of thousands of players and see how it affects your algorithm. They probably stuck it in and said, "We'll see how it goes and tweak it as needed."

yeah i think we got it all O_o idk though, degen mesmers rock on that map, they can kill those npcs from a safe spot, at least the ele can't do anything, the ai mesmers painic, the necromancers are a bit of a pain on a illusion mesmer. All in all it's been fun (and eh you do relize if you are a guest of a luxon sided guild you can "fight" for them. Who wouldn't want the help of EoE
Yeah while i don't have the heart to get a spy team, i say fight fire with fire, luxons did it to us before

Well then, not a bug.
I think I might like this algorithm. It seems to reward wins by weighting things towards the winner. Sounds like fun.

Wait, why? What would a line do to armor cost?
Oh and someone please say he is wrong about this! I was thinking of trying to save up for a luxon armor, but if what he says is somehow true....

Ya, fun if you are the winner, other wise you are the faction that is losing and will probably be stuck in a loop of not owning anything, except the main towns...
Also, I bet Arena Net was planning this from the start! There is a map on the factions box of the luxon/kurzick towns, and now our map is starting to look like it! And people keep saying that it seems like kurzicks are having the advantage...
Are there really people that just go into the battles just to die?If so, that is really stupid and it is gonna ruin it for people that play it without doing things like that. I'm thinking that soon, it will become something where all the people on the kurzick side are really luxons suiciding, and visa versa with the other side, so it will become "which ever team can give the other team more points first wins" kind of thing.

It's a conspiricy by Anet to ruin their own game! Of course! Once they fix the start bug, it'll be a lot easier for Luxons to win on that one map, so don't worry

Dub tee eff, this map is bugged. Look at this kurzick and the flags representing cap points. (they had four before the game started, BTW).
