Characters - Allmost all necro skills,warior, mesmer, ranger
I tried a lot to play HA but I just got tired of screaming and shouting to find a party to play with so I`m looking for ppl who are wiling to play HA a lot (unfortunatly my guild plays a lot of GvG but I`m not that interested in GvG)
I want to try and learn a lot of builds and eventualy make some fame...

Its almost impossible to get a good PUG going unless your R3+...It seems that everyone thinks if ur not R3+ ur a noob. They obviously dont remember the time they were R0-R1. I can participate in R-Spike, B-Spike, Rainbow Spike, iWay, and Balanced Teams, but no1 wants me in their group. PM me in game for some HA.

Dear All,

I associate myself here to many of the posts, particularly to that one of whitey chan.

3 weeks ago, more or less, my account only had 21 fame (this was achieved over 9 months lol) but today, i have 340 fame (nearly rank 4 now).

It is extremely annoying, frustrating and disheartening to stand arround in HA, whether its your home district or the international ones and spam continiously 'lfg' 'lfg'.

I found that using IWAY has been the quickest way to get up your fame.

Yes, you may say, IWAY omg.

Well there are so many adverse and negative comments made about IWAY.

The most common one is 'sensless headbashing build that requires no skill nor brains'.

Maybe it is so or maybe not.

One thing is for sure if you want fame quick I would suggest you try this build.

A few tips for whatever they are worth, don't say in main how much fame you have nor rank.

Its obvious that if you dont have rank you will be lfg that are not ranked.

I have seen many players saying Fame X lfg.

The rank discrimination in HA is quite high and even if you mean well by saying your fame in main does no good to you.

Despair not because there are many people who are striving to get the 'bambi' (deer emote).

Another tip, is to try to make a HA friends list and try to always to play with the same people, as much as possible that is.

I found too that my guild members dont want to do HA particularly IWAY or VIMWAY, so I did alone.

Set your self short, medium & long term targets. What I mean is eg 5 fame a day. Try to stay on target as much as possible.

Be prepared to be kicked from teams for no reason, called a noob or other unprintable names, but if your determination is set, dont let those bring you down.

My last comment here is that when you reach Rank 3+ don't become a 'i am god'm player that discriminate players because they dont have rank 3. It is very easy to become one, I know from personal experience. I was forming a rank3 IWAY team last week and I got into the team a player who only needed 6 fame to get rank3, so he said, and one of the party members started to ask him for his emote and of course, he said he needed just 6 fame. This guy then demanded that this guy that I kick him. I did and man, I still feel guilty about it, so I promised myself I will never ever be like that again.

Well hope this is of some value to you guys and dont despair, if I got rank 3 so can you. I have always been a hardcore pve player that despised pvp, just keep at it and dont despair.

if you iway to rank 3, then where does that get u. You get accepted into a group, after one round ppl find out u have no skills what so ever. They kick you. What you do is ignore the rank. Go out there find a guild and prove yourself. I was not even rank 3 and i was playing with rank 6-8 players daily. You just have to prove yourself. Iway get's u no where.

4 weeks ago had 23 fame..not even rank one...on my war i started iway..vim...vimway..also as bo war....i also made a b-spike....and a r-spike...i mostly stuck with vim and am now over 350 fame. find one you like and stick with it.

Yeah, I know it's IWAY (I HATE IWAY), but getting R3/R6 is something that is NEEDED before a group will even THINK about excepting you (unless you play with unranked pugs, GL with that).

Also, every tells me to join a HA guild. TYVM But I like the one I'm in. And at masteroflife, the problem isn't that I don't have skill, it's that I don't have RANK.

IWAY and VIMway are GW's version of social security. It's been like...what, 15, 16 months since the game's initial release? In that time, the PvP community has established itself in the r6-r10 bracket. Like it or not (and you're totally justified in choosing "not") people have been given a way (rank) that they will use (always) to determine who gets into a group, and almost as often to determine who gets into a guild. It sucks, yeah, but at the risk of sounding cynical, it's idiotic to think it'd be any other way. What's even worse is that rank and tournament experience is one of the best ways to get into a GvG guild without having any connections. Talk about comparing apples to oranges.

Now take myself for example. I'm r6, half way to r7. I got about 80 fame with IWAY and randomway, and the remainder almost exclusively by playing WoH and RC Prot monk. I've got my r6 rank, and it qualifies me to play any role in any r6+ group. It doesn't matter if I've never played CG ranger, or spirit spammer, or warrior, or anything besides a monk for that matter because I've got my r6. In all truth, a r3 warrior who got his rank playing warrior is more qualified to play a warrior than I am at r6.

That said, my message to anyone reading is this: do anything and everything in your power to get r6. IWAY, VIMway, whatever. It's open season. The same people who criticize below r6 IWAYers and VIMwayers are the exact same people who wouldn't blink an eye to help you out. You don't need thier approval. Hell, I've met r6 monks who play like r0 for exactly the reason I've stated above - rank is an indicator of experience, but not at any given class. Don't feel bad for playing IWAY or VIMway to get your r6. That's where the real game begins.

But keep playing it after r6..........and I'll have to kick your ass.

To take it one step further, if there are any low rank players out there who really, really want to gain rank and are getting frustrated by how the current system works. My Guild is in the same kind of boat in the fact that most of us are low ranked so we can't get into good organised teams in HA, so we help each other out when we can with making Guild HA teams. We always find ourselves one or two short and rather than asking around and getting these elitist rank 6+ people join and then ragequit after one fight, we'd rather have someone who plays for fun and wants to win.
If there are any low rank players out there who are dedicated to getting fame, or in the Pvp game in that matter, message me in-game or on these forums and we can talk.
