Ok thanks to all once again. Some thoughts from my experience in HA so far:
Forming an iway group is a way to get some fame. I do not want this thread to become an IWAY or not IWAY topic, people can play what they feel like and almost any build can be effective enough to win and hold HoH. IWAY is easier to start and one can get in random iway pugs (I have done so), so I think this thread we shouldn't aim for iway.
My personal motive in making this thread is to learn and play HA good enough to get some rank. I am currently rank 1 with 55 fame from random balanced and iway pugs.
For those who want to just get to rank 3 iway is the fastest and easiest way to do it. A random group, as long as it sticks together for a while, can make series of 1,2 or 3 wins and get some fame.
I suggest that we try to make a balanced build, though. This will provide some experience and can create a core of players that are able to play something other than iway. I don't have anything against the people that play iway, just there's no need for a special thread for it, I play iway too sometimes and I don't have much problem finding a party.
Here is what we need from the more experienced players:
1. A build
2. What's more important, is how the build is to be played. So we need to know the role of each member (apart from the skillbar, attributes etc).
3. What really bugs me so far is positioning and strategy in the different maps on HA. An iway pug (within the scope of this thread, there are I am sure very good iway teams with strategy, plan etc) doesn't need to make calls or make much of planning. A balanced build will need to have a knowledge of the map, be able to prioritize targets, to position themselves and to know what each person is supposed to do.
Please if you have any knowledge of this post here, as this will be very helpful.

Hi, Im kinda new to PvP, have tried a few different builds like ranger spike/Iway/balanced/MM factory. I just completed Factions with 2 characters so Im just capping elites now. I have more time to invest in PvP.
Im usually on every day between 6-12PM PST.
If you need a spot filled, PM me.

I'd like to give HA a Bash, mostly I've been in AB with some GvG mixed in.
I have mostly W/A/N elites unlocked. But I can use some Balth faction to get skills for IWAY or something.
I prefer non-spell caster builds =p

I could be also a help, I am quite experienced in PVP because I used to GvG a lot. I'm still rank 0 though, its quite hard to get into a HA group since they all want higher ranked players.
I am proficient with a Ranger, Necro and Mesmer, and I could sub as an assassin or warrior. I have a PVP slot so I'm quite flexible.

Nice thread good for the little guyz strugling to make their way to HoH.
Well, I'm no Hardcore PvP-er. But i do GvG, TA and RA alot. Even more so after finishing Prophecies and factions four times :P.
And nowI'm shifting my time back to full time PvP. Havent played much HA before though. Again the problem is Rank. Time to find people to play with =D

What i play: Most of the time i would prefer to play a warrior since i have the most experience with it. I can play almost all warrior builds. But when a warrior is not required i can pretty much play any profession except ritualists.
In an adreno spike, i prefer to be the follower instead of the caller.
Builds prefered: I like to play balanced, since i always GvG with balanced and i feel more comfortable with it.
Additional stuff: I have TS/Vent and mic.

most probably a HA team will need a Vent server,
does anybody has one or know how to setup a new ?
this alone will solve many problems,
because anyone avaliable for HA
could simply connect to vent and if there is
enough, a team will formed in a sort time,
so no more whispering to see if there is avaliability of players.
this also will solve the "Rank-0 Guild" forming problem,
as not everyone wants to leave his guild,
the Vent solution is trully trans - guild.
i think we can start form this one ans see how it goes.

Hi, im pretty new to Pvp although have a few pretty experianced characters in other areas of the game. I have recently become interested in pvp but as i am r0 its hard to find a group that can go any further than 1 win. That is not however what i find annoying about the situation. I find that then the rest of the group will turn on 1 member and pick a fault and just hearl abuse at them. I find the childish and more than anything frustrating. I am interested in joining you guys as i would like to learn more than anything. I understand basic builds but as i have little experiance do not have great understanding of alot of them. If you will have me, i would like to learn with you.

Has this thread actually gotten a HA group together and actually played? I've never heard any stories about HA groups that have originated from this thread, so I was wondering was this thread actually of any use.

I myself am rank2 with 152 fame.
I have IWAYed once, i have eoebombed once, i have ViM'ed three times.
the rest of my fame, is from balanced and a couple of spikes.
IWAY is indeed less honourable, when you hit rank3, if you have IWAYed, you will be absolute rubbish at anything other than IWAY.
I have great respect for IWAY, it is a great build, and easy to use by anybody, but the problem that entails with this is that even though IWAYers will have a general idea of how to play maps, they will be rubbish at any other builds, as what tends to happen is that IWAYers IWAY 70-100% of their rank3 which makes IWAYers disliked, because IWAY is mindless and just involves bashing away for a few minutes.
