For reference I am still on a high after the games we played on saturday evening. Our finest moment was reaching round three, but more importantly I felt much more part of a cohesive team than I ever have before in an unranked HA group (when we always got steam rollered).

Full credit to the experienced guys who came along to help us out and especially to Orchid for leading us. Anyone who can take a bunch of noobs and get them as far as he did in one night deserves major kudos.

One major note for when we try this again: Teamspeak. For ages I just thought people were exaggerating when they said this was essential. I was wrong. The difference this makes, especially for a team who are all getting used to each other, is astronomical.

If enough people are around tonight between 6pm and 9.30pm GMT, whisper me and maybe we can make another assault.

I am so glad someone made this post..... I am rank 0... but recently have started becoming more interested in pvp. I have done many gvg and TA. I have 2 accounts.. one has 2 fame and the second has 0. I would like to join with whomever is making this guild for ppl for HoH. Both of my accounts are in a guild... different ones.. however, I am willing to speak with my less active accounts guild leader and inform him of this.

I am on an American server, I personally enjoy playing ele, necro, and ranger... but, I can play anything. I am currently working on unlocking as many skills as possible before Factions comes out. My IGN is Cali Snowkiss, or Evil Cali.... please pm me to let me know how far this idea is going.

just a few pointers, boon prots plague touch war these are all gvg things

boon prots dont work in tombs b/c of iway w/ their nr and blood spike with their qz. + boon prot work well in build tat have heavy shutdown of the other team. mainly b/c gvg builds let the characters be selfsufficient. this is not require for tombs.
plague touch war is another self-sufficient character, which means not needed in ha. its better to bring 2 interrupts on the war distracting blow and shock.

there are many other reason y gvg builds dont work well in tombs but i'll stop here.
and a few things about warrioring... dont always have frenzy up, dont keep chasing the same target the whole game(yes u prolly just annoyed tat person but ur also wasting ur time if ur chasing the same person the whole game. they always come after my pretty mesmer in fissure. i kite through everything and he still follows me after 3 mins our team killed most of theirs and he finally switch target) i see r6+ ppl do this also, dont know what their thinking.

i also see this in a build tat starts with a I and ends in way. the warriors just chased the first target they see.

AoE seems to work in HoH too, correct?

im interested in joining in with a party. im in the UK, and can play rSpiker, most Monk builds, most Ele builds and shock Warrior. i hav experience of PvP from RA and TA and a few GvGs but only 18 Fame

just saying warriors shouldnt be spamming their skills.
being a good warrior isnt as easy as ppl think. a good start is to save up ur adren and calling spikes.

yes aoe dmg works very well in tombs.

a few of my guild members have stepped into the pvp arena quite often lately. I'm just trying to catch up

I can play any Necro, and Monk builds (monk was actually my first char!) I have a War right now that I'm working on. I like to do hammer builds. Will be working towards setting up for iway soon >.<

Hi,rank 8 here. I must say i had same problem when I was starting to play Tombs (HA today ). But i was lucky to find " good " guild soon that helped me to get my r3 very soon. There wasnt IWAY back then but there was something even worse IMHO : spirit spammers! And since there wasnt obs mode , we begginers really couldnt do much to counter it.
Dont think that when youll reach rank 3 you will play with better groups then you play as unranked-you will still get pwned by 6/9/12+ groups or iway.
You can only improve your game by playing a lot,learn on your mistakes,using TS/vent,gaining experience.
Also try to avoid PUG-s or IWAY-with iway you can get rank 6 easily but you will still be noob. And PUG-s,well they just suck most of the time. Try playing with friends even if you keep loosing all the time. Eventually you ll find a way how to counter certain builds and start beating better and better groups.
Just dont give up and youll get rewarded soon.

- Rez a teammate (utility)
- Rez a pet (utility)
- Summon the correct spirit (communication)
- Spam IWAY when told, eventually you'll know when

- How to, press "c + spacebar" and press numbers

I'd say thats a lot (sarcasm). IWAY is popular because of its ease of use, there isn't much communication required for an IWAY team to win. If you're a necro you do basically the same thing over and over again (spam orders, spam tainted etc.) So, yes you do learn, yes you do win (alot of fame), but no... your rank definately overweighs your experience and skill... so IWAY is ok to play sometimes, but you should try other things as well. Balanced is probably one of the best to go.
