Ritual Lord barely got touched since so many of the rituals got their recharge reduced significantly.

dash on a frenzy warrior is way too energy heavy before even considering palm strike.
I agree with JR- that smite will stop seeing play as they hit in a big way the two core reasons (zealots and balths) to run smite in the first place.
I think that the change to divine boon will have the most lasting effect on the metagame we see from this point forward. A difference of 10 healing affects energy efficiency in a big way. Now, 16 divine favor heals at 114 (instead of 124). Before, 14 divine favor healed at 112. Still, the recharge at 10 seconds really has me wary of the boon monk as a whole now. Wearing a superior DF rune and being without boon for 9 seconds is in my mind spike bait.

Dash isn't that energy heavy. It's the same as frenzy so ~2 pips. What else are you going to use the energy for on a sword/axer anyway? Unless you're trying to fit protector's onto your bar I don't see a big issue.
The _real_ bonus to warriors is the now uber siphon speed. Do you all not see the possibility of a 5E, 1s, 5C water snare (66% speed delta) on a warrior's bar?

Boon nerfed, Zealots Fire nerfed..
Mesmers will come into play in PvP Now i think.. Some enchant Removeal will kill boon prots and AoE smiters.. And throw in some E-denial And work on the Blights.. Should work like a charm.. (Note this change pisses me off becouse i love Boon proting and Hate Blighting).
The rits Got buffed in some points.. But in the Deffencive Spirit spamming way of playing they got pwned fairly hard, harder than most ppl realize.. 25 energy for Shelter, thats an increase of 150% on the cost.. Combinded with the nerf of Boon of Creation then:
Enchanted with Boon Of creation Casting Shelter: An energy loss of 2 after casting the spirit,
After: An energy loss of like 15+ energy.. Other spirits got Higher Cost i belive.. The lesser recharge dont buff it RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO all, as you wont have energy to cast it enough, seeing how it also dies faster.. (I hate this nerf)
Evisterate+ Bulls Strike: =/ .. I like my Warrior, pretty annoying Nerf but guess ill live with this one.. Altho since Dismember got Buffed i think that Dismember + Other Axe elite Like cleave could come up..
Assassins got Buffed: Im insanely pissed about this.. Becouse ive wanted to make an assassin for a while but havent got a free char slot, and now i really want to make one >_>
And necros hardly got touched -.- Neither did Touch Rangers

the old siphon speed was already tried by one of the top guilds a few months ago. now with the boost, it is a great mass snare. i'm not sure how well a warrior can keep it up, though. maybe it will see some play on rangers and mesmer skill bars.

I really like the change to Ritualists, fits nice with the new VoD theme, I never liked Spirit spammers. It's no Ritual lord that got them nerfed, it's the 25e cost of spirits. Really sucks to get one of those interrupted now.
On the other hand, I don't see a point in nerfing smiters, or divine boon. I've to agree with you on that one JR, really sucks to have them nerfed that way when smite didn't really need it. Basically I'm expecting dom mesmers and split builds.

The energy expenditure of siphon speed is minimal. I was using it on a warrior before yesterday's buff and it worked fine.

The problem with siphon speed has always been that it only gives you a speed boost and doesn't actually snare the target. If they'd actually just fixed that bug it'd be a pretty respectable skill at 20%. At 33%, though, without the bug, I imagine it'll be a monster.

They fixed this bug at the end of July. Siphon speed has been excellent since then.

- The Elem "Mind" spells are still realized very poorly. They needed to have a HIGHER cost and do something spectacular. You can't spam a spell which gives exhaustion, especially when the spell itself depends on you having more energy than the target! *roll eyes*. My list of the 40+ Elem skills that need to be fixed remains unchanged.
- Lots of great Assassin updates. I freaking love Black Lotus Strike and thought it would be absolutely perfect at a 20 sec recharge...I got just what I wanted! Although they still don't understand what needs to be done about some of the skills (Locusts's Fury is crap; it needs to be a "skill" like Critical Eye....Blinding Powder still requires a successful offhand attack to work and therefore does not make Unseen Fury builds viable). All Lead Attacks and all Offhand attacks that require a Lead attack should have a 4 sec recharge to really make Lead-Offhand-Dual builds viable (except Black Mantis Thrust and Gold Lotus Strike...those should be 8). Palm Strike/Golden Phoenix Strike/Iron Palm should be brought down to 5 energy as well. The Shadow of Haste change is interesting. It basically gives you a permanent 15% speed increase with occassional teleports every 45-60 seconds. I think simply reducing it to 5 energy would have been better....I liked how you could time it to run in and fire off a chain and then be teleported out.
- Rit Lords suddenly depend on ENERGIZING WIND if they want to be Spirit Spammers...25 energy for Shelter and Soothing?!?!?!?! The Boon of Creation nerf is painful. It's awesome to see that Channeling and Restoration Ritualists could actually be viable now, though!
- Boon Prot is dead; Blessed Light is the way of the future.

Tainted was the metagame before Factions existed. Didn't you know ?
Mind Shock and Mind Freeze are interresting now. Too bad you need Glyph of Energy or Dual Attunes if you want to use them...

Just keep the old energy and recharge costs maybe increase mind burns and remove exuastion and those spells could be pritty good.

Rt/Me for damage
Rt/Mo for heal support
RT/R for (a very fragile) Rit Lord
Over the next couple of days I think everyone is going to be gravitating in these three directions. This is nothing new. If you aren't Mo/Me you aren't a RC prot; If you aren't E/Me, you aren't a nuke, etc.
Some of the flexibility of the rit is gone. Most of the Rit Lords resiliency as well. Rit Lords will have to be very careful where they place their spirits now. If you weren't before, start practicing now
I also think they're trying to wheen us off BoonProt, probably in anticipation to an uber nerf to CoP when Dervish comes out for good. Makes me glad I've been running BL so long, though I will miss my old BoonProt.
Sin and Warrior? meh. the former will still die in 3 seconds flat in the wrong hands; the later would need repeated beatings with the nerf bat to make me worry much.
What they did to ele...I still don't understand. I wonder if they do either.

Mo/A with Heart of Shadow and Dark Escape or Dash should be near unspikeable. Set the Heart of Shadow return point somewhere in the backlines then when you get shocked etc. cancel the HoS to return out. It's like return but better. Not too mention the constant speed buff you get from it.

i've seen the leaked updates. fortunately, the real updates are not as extreme as the leaked ones.
to dgb:
the skill you're looking for is probably "shadow of haste", not "heart of shadow". it's a viable alternative to return now, but it's recharge of 30 seconds is a bit restrictive.
also, if you reapply it, will it set your current location as the set point, or will it return you to your old set point?

To be honest, I don't see how you can nerf a boon prot and buff a sin especially to the extent that they did.
I honestly hate every single thing about this. They nerfed my two favorite pvp builds to run, thumper and boon prot. I'll still play, but this shit is disheartening. Let's pray that Nightfalls makes up for it.

Haha, I didn't quite understand when I first read the skill...I thought you'd be teleported back to your original spot when re-applied, when I first read it. But it actually binds you to the last spot you used it at...it definitely has the potential to be quite good now. I tried it out earlier and it was working great, although I think I might like Siphon Speed even more!

Sins needed the buff and they still didn't get everything correct, so stop whining.
