And then there's the flip side - the insubstancial walls that arrows go through as if they're not there, which has resulted in more than a few interrupts/deaths because I thought I was safe. I don't know how their projectile collision works, but it's pretty inaccurate relative to the visuals.

I don't think this is a projectile collision issue - I think what the OP is talking about is the strange and annoying glitch where your *skills* simply faily to activate. You hit the button, they turn dark briefly, but they don't actually go off. You lose no energy, the skill does not recharge, and you do nothing. I've had this happen to me on perfectly open ground, with no objects between me and the target, and me actually *hitting* the target with arrows, but being unable to activate skills. It's thankfully very rare, and I'm not sure what causes it, but it's ridiculously annoying in any case.

This is why I hate very cramped maps, melee and professions needing line of sight get very frustrating to play if there are a lot of "invisible" obstacles.

for me, I've noticed that it sometimes triggers when I'm trying to use bow attacks against someone at a different elevation than me. Moving to a different elevation usually solves it.

I've seen this bug too. It has something to do with elevation, definitely. I notice it mostly when firing arrows off the top of the bridges on Burning Isle.

This has happened to me before, but in a Burial Mounds match. The skills just simply wouldn't activate, and it didn't have anything to do with arrows or projectiles; I was playing a Migrainer, and I couldn't get Migraine on my target. The skill behaved exactly as if I had tried to use Inspired Hex on a target with no hex. Hasn't happened often though, thank god.

This is my experience too. Only ever happens when I play ranger, and not that often, and it only lasts a couple of seconds before it fixes itself. A minor annoyance more than anything else

I have this happen to me a lot when I play any melee build. Bad pathing / body blocking seems to be the main cause, but I've had it happen at random times as well. Really irritating having to spam the skill button multiple times on the off chance that it will fail to trigger.
