For the FC Me/E, a warrior gets replaced by it.

Hopeless ran fc fire mes, I ran the fc water + cg long before hopeless did but it failed cuz grp wasnt very good, then i ran it with hopeless and we held halls like crazy with it, its quit simple really, just bodyblock 1 ghost and interrupt the other, and just in case 2 ghosts get on altar, the fc ele interrupts the team without sb while the cg ranger interrupts the team with sb. The only time you will lose halls with this build is if you get your interrupters caught under fs while the ghosts are trying to cap, or if the whole team dies. This build needs to get hoh skipped because a good team will win vs it in 1 vs 1 (so its really hard to get to hoh without a skip) since there isnt a lot of defense for necros and all the offense comes off of 3 wars.

The point behind the trappers are to punish people from staying in wards. The Malestorm is good provided you place it right before the wards are put down forcing the monks to leave the wards allowing for the pressure to be applied. That is what I assume an IWAY does from my experience facing them since I haven't done it since the days of 2 resolve trappers and a OoV/OoP and a Taint with Meteor Shower as a r1. I wouldn't know.

Iway's will always get beaten by a balanced w/ a warder on their team. That's exactly why I don't run it anymore ^^. AoE dmg works pretty nicely to get them running out of the wards.

Alright, since I haven't really seen one good post referring to the topic, I'm going to have to step in.
Being in both sides of this, I have played warder and iway warrior enough to know, so i'lgive it to you from both point of views.
Warder PoV: Keep foes up and melee, kite back a few steps when you are putting up melee so the 1 warrior that should be on you won't be able to reach you in time to interrupt, but make sure you let your team know. If this is too advanced for you, call for a guardian and pray ooa isn't up. Eventually though, if the warrior knows what he is doing he will hit through guardian.
Warrior PoV: Pretty easy really, I have never really had a problem interrupting wards simply because the warder isn't experienced enough. All you can really do is camp on the warder and hit distracting blow when you see melee being put up. Again, just like the warder, if this is too advanced for you, you should go try some other profession. You should really be getting it 3 times out of 4 if the warder does nothing to prevent it. Or, if you are running a fc, which I think is quite pointless, you can always have him interrupt with pd.
Easy stuff really, pointless thread IMO.

wards have a pretty quick cast time though, so generally it's hard to catch, and PD is pricy on a fc mesmer, because I don't seem to remember them using energy management when I played against them, just lots of nukes and pd.
anyway, here's what it boils down to:

Maelstrom them while they are in the wards. Pressure with W/R while the Maelstrom is dropping.

oathshot maelstorm is so silly
its a good thing the noobs who decide on the next iway standard cant think of something better or iway could really give problems
but to answer the topic question, iway should have some sort of aoe to punish those in wards, this is something all builds should have if they rely heavily on melee
the trappers should already give good aoe pressure to a ward hugging team in addition to anything else such as the fast cast ele ive seen recently
however many of these trappers are clueless as ive seen them never attempt to break a ward with their traps but rather trap the same backline spot until hes the last guy alive
