*sniff* this double fame has
1. made me lag in HA
2. made it 10 times as hard to find a vimway group
3. Getting loads of random invites from touch rangers and paladins.

Well, a night of HA and it's still lame.
Didn't really notice much different while playing it despite the changes and still, yawn.

there are still VIM+IWAY groups, but they are weak in non altar maps, annoying but beatable in altar maps. haven't seen OoA iway yet. lots of GvG build toned down to Tomb settings deffo, which is good. variety ftw.
but definately no gay blood spike. and no monopoly of HoH (yet).

Not sure I like this 6v6 business.
-Hex builds are crazy powerful, no way to remove all those hexes and very difficult to manage energy as a monk with all that degen and not enough removal to cut things down.
-Altar matches are generally a pain in the ass because of all the vim/iway.
-First two maps are a joke, but I suppose that's the double fame weekend bringing all the PvE ppl out of the woodwork. 6 free fame everytime in isn't a bad thing I guess.
-Too much smite.
-Not much space in the team to be creative in a balanced build. There doesn't seem to be alot of latitude with only 6 man teams.
Just my initial reactions, hopefully I'll be able to get on more this weekend to test it out. I'm not convinced this is a change for the better though.

I think the 6v6 would be an interesting change for HoH because ive been trying to make a pug group for a long time and we either get a noob as the 8th person or simply cannot find an 8th person.Plus GvG is the highest ranking pvp in the game so a 6v6 would be great. About TA, ya its unpopular because of no specific rank for it(gladiator does not count because most ppl do RA for that title) and if there was one, many more ppl would be involved in TA.
Btw no build is cheap or unfair, all builds are made of legal skills and strategies.
- Iway can be completely destrayed by a good balance team
- b-spike is good. Thats a fact(if it does change to 6v6 it will take a hard hit)
- smite teams are by far the most annoying but like i said its a legal build.

how about next weekend they make 12 man parties and increase all the health bars by 200 hp. And also u get triple drops from HoH chests and gain triple faction and 4 times as much fame.

Of course, people are still going to keep trying to run the same garbage for a while.

garbage? smite is dreadfully powerful now- the pressure is too much for a lot of the 2-monk backlines
iway? point taken- it's just not viable\
one interestign thing atm- it does seem (even with the huge number of extra players) that finding groups is still fairly hard. is it just me? are more people playing with guild groups perhaps?

Apologies, I wasn't very clear. IWAY and ViM are garbage, smite is most definately not.

well if smite is to much pressure then your doing something awfully wrong sorry.
I ran a very simple balanced build. We didnt had any problems whit smite teams. We even faced a combo of smite and dark aura type of smiting build that kind of pressure>owns a smite team imo. But still if you got the right build you can paralyze that and lots of other teams aswell.
Btw hexes/degen well my monk backline could handle a SB/Ri spike really easily and degen same thing not that many problems. But still its player/build dependent how it works out.
So far i like this event really much id like to c some sort of 6v6 type of PvP play doesnt necesarily have to be HA but a new area which still has a reward so ppl get attracted to play it. And at least now you can play some sort of balanced team which was nearly impossible whit the 8v8 team cuz everyone couldnt be arsed running a balanced build there cuz you would never get a full decent team if you didnt have enough guildies/alliances/friends who are willing to do HA and facing the same kind of teams over and over.

I'm really enjoying the 6v6, but I'm also finding it less of a challenge than the usual 8v8. Of course it's probably just the frenzy of people getting in on the fast fame, but the quality and diversity of builds has got worse :\

I've seen alot of VIMWAY and smite this weekend, but haven't spoted much IWAY/Bspike yet. Maybe it's actually difficult to run IWAY with 6? I have WAY more respect for people who are capable of winning with 6 man IWAY/Bspike then I would for 6 man smite teams.

i dont care what anet does at this point..its been what almost 2 years and they are releasing a 3rd chapter and it took em aboput a year to fix knights boots and hey ...lol still didnt fix that z axis that allows traps to get triggered when they are on top of a bridge and your below (all those brown spike trap lines pop out lol) anyway its 50/50 now..anet is doing this for the pvers..anet cares little about us hardocre tombers but think about this...if u make a 6 man team in tombs permanent...there will be less and less creativity..there wont be enuff to bring out know what i mean...and jees im forgeting something...oh yes observer mode...all u have to do is press B and take alook see at all the matches on tv and copy it ..soon as u know it...just like with 8 man tombs it be same with 6 man but with 6 man its so crapmed that it be just like luck based..sooner or later if this stays everysingle team will run the same thing as the oposing party...i dont wana give my opinion on this topic anymore....i hope u pvers and fresh to tombs player catch the drift ...peace

I'm enjoying 6v6 more than 8v8. No build is as scarey and each individual on the team needs to be better. It is much easier to pull things together and pull out difficult "skill wins" (as oppose to "build wins"). This is because lower numbers on each team makes identifying, assigning and executing tactical moves easier.
I've run mostly smite because it translates best from GvG and is a nice balance of a "system build" and a toolbox build. It is easy to get new players some experience in an actual GvG build while doing HA. I can see it being annoying, but the offense/defense mix is perfect for 6v6 HA.
I would agree that HA remains worse than TA, but this change closes that gap a bit.

wow this is funny all the "hardcore tombers" are saying that with 6 man teams theres going to be very little creativity and everyone is just going to copy paste builds. Look guys thats no arguement and you know it, isnt it a bit refreshing to stop playing IWAY and Bspike for a change?
