Fort Aspenwood PvP Assassin Build
Hello, and welcome to my first post
I'm new to GW and its PvP, so please feel free to critique this build, offer advice, or etc. I think this is a fairly novel build, but I haven't been around long enough to be sure. Note though that I have only used this in Fort Aspenwood (Luxon), and I don't have enough experience to say whether it would work elsewhere or not, though I'd be interested to have someone test it in GvG.
Equipment:
Armor: I have all Shrouded with a Vanguard Guise (-20%blind), but an alternative setup would be workable if desired.
Daggers: Zealous 15^50 of Fortitude, with Silencing 15^50 of Fortitude on swap.
Attributes:
You have only 1 skill from CS, the rest are from DM and SA.
My current setup, due to lack of funds:
Dagger Mastery: 13 (11+2)
Shadow Arts: 12 (11+1)
Critical Strikes: 10 (7+2+1)
An alternative setup that would probably be better:
Dagger Mastery: 14 (11+2+1)
Shadow Arts: 13 (11+2)
Critical Strikes: 8 (7+1) (8=minimum for +2energy gain on crits)
Skills: (Commentary based on my setup)
1. Leaping Mantis Sting - +19dmg, cripples moving targets
2. Jungle Strike - +23dmg, +27dmg to crippled targets
3. Twisting Fangs - +17dmg, bleeding and deep wounds for 15sec
4. Shadow Refuge - 9regen, +68health if attacking when it ends
5. Wild Blow - cant be blocked/evaded, removes stance from target
6. Beguiling Haze - interrupts a spell, causes 10sec daze
7. Viper's Defense or Dark Escape (your choice, I prefer Viper) - escape function, poison abilities
8. Shadow of Haste - constant speed boost, escape function
Strategy/Advantages:
In this build you have damage+conditions, multi-class shutdown, near-constant speed boosts, and escape abilities. Your 3-chain attack should give approx. 150 damage, cripple, bleeding, and deep wounds. You should have SoH up pretty much all the time. Use Vipers for a cancel to get out of danger in a pinch. Or, in those rare situations when you don't have SoH up, Vipers can also get you out of a body-block or poison that annoying Ranger on the wall. You want to hit low AL targets, dangerous casters/healers, and people running amber. With their long casting times, Ele's and Necro's are particularly easy to daze. You are also very good at helping kiting teammates, and de-stancing that W/X thats killing your turtle while he tanks the 4 Luxon Warriors. Play the build a bit, and I'm sure you'll see how it works and where its value is to the team.
Disadvantages/Weakness:
You have no hex removal, and no blind removal. You are susceptible to high degen. You cannot solo a mine (who cares?).
PS - Was Gladiators Arena the right place to post this? I've seen other 'build' posts moved, but The Campfire clearly states that it is for PvE, not PvP.

Hmm, looks sound. Nice to see a build that uses beguiling haze at last.
