OK, point taken, sorry. I've seen people run an IWAY assassins in addition to the normal W/R front line, which is what I thought you were talking about.

Balanced: STILL the same stupid 3 monk backline. 1 Warder. 2x Melee (shock wars), 2x "Utility". Here the ONLY evolution to "balanced" was changing 2x e-surge mesmers/migraine mesmers to 2x choking gas rangers. WOW, how about the "balanced" camp getting more creative for a change.
|
Funny how my guild's forums, as well as the forums of my previous guild, are full of balanced builds of all different types - hex, degen, pressure, interrupt, shutdown, spike etc. The point is that balances basically has 5 characters to play with, 6 if you go with a 2 monk backline - IWAY only has a few skills that get changed. Oh, sorry, I Hopeless ran a few mods on TV and then everyone ran CG rangers for a while, then went to FC eles - I forgot about that. The point is, IWAY is still basically heavy melee pressure with traps, orders and other ward hate... and it's still boring to play against.
I'll just leave it at that.

If you'd bother reading you'd notice that I said I wasn't around for that.

Get over it. No offense, but why the hell would you care about someone's creativity?

Because fighting IWAY for the past year has become pretty boring. It makes the game stale when 1/2 the teams you fight are IWAY - at least balanced has differences that make it interesting to play against.

Oh really. When was the last time you've played tombs? In the last week or so there has been twice as much bspike as iway. Rspike is almost as common as iway is now. Get your facts straight.
Right, nowadays what is balanced? 3 monks 1 warrior 1 warder 1 choking gas 2 other chars? Sounds pretty stale to me.

Lately, yes, but that doesn't change what I said about the past year, which obviously encompases more than the past week. As far as the 'facts' I'm well aware that IWAY isn't that prevelant in the current meta, but this thread obviously illistrates the fact that people will continue to run it after the change, which is sad imo.

That's your basic PUG balanced, but balanced is basically 3 monks and 5 other characters - which is a point I believe I made already. The point is that balanced can have a lot of different things that make it interesting to play - degen, smite, heavy interrupts, energy denial, hex pressure, caster shutdown, etc. It's not just based around melee pressure and ward hate.
Anyway, I'm not trying to take a shot at IWAYers, I'd just like to see more builds to play against because it makes playing more enjoyable.

Don't forget (without discussing the reason why please) that iway was the most enjoyable build for many people. Thats the reason why iway always adapted after a nerf. Yesterday when playing I already saw quite some old school iway (3 wars, 1 trap, taint (with both profane and suffering) and order). Don't be suprised if iway will be a hugely used build again in a week or so.

And yes, the last character is a monk, but no matter how much we adapt it'll still be "IWAY" right LOL I thought using a monk automatically makes you "balanced" anyways. Kinda funny since dual smite/vim was 90% of the builds that were ran and another 9% was melandrus/apply poison degen setup during the last 6 MAN event yet people will still SHIT on you for using IWAYwarriors no matter what you do. Yet it is perfectly okay to run a 3x R/W thumpers frontline because that's "balanced" and automatically takes more SKILLZ.

nah 1 just got 500 fame from it
good enough for 1 day. And evergy good team ( conditon, spike) would defeat iway. There is no actual heal in that (only 1 monk and a necro) and yea you have to be lucky to get to hoh. 6 man iway - fine(at least for now). 8 man iway - abuse of build.
and the main reason for hate attitude to iway players is their attitude. If they are starting to loose, the simply quit. In balanced/ other build, you just repeat the whole thing. And yea that r9+ iway showing off their rank is nothing more than fame farm. When they start to losem they just flame other players ( NUBZ KILL SOMETHING) and quit shortly after that. That's why i dont like iway. - Players.

Yes, there are IWAYers like that. But not all of them are. And believe it or not, I've done my fair share of balance and there are also balance players like this. But also, not all balance players are like this. There are gonna be people with that attitude no matter what build you play.
I can't count how many balances I've seen take hour+ to form, finally go in, lose UW, have massive vent rage and then everyone rage quits. While the same sometimes happens with IWAY at least it doesn't take hour+ to form >_>

There's nothing wrong with Iway, people are just mad because the Iway's got alot of fame running that built. In my book a win is a win. It's only a freaking game. Just run you balance, bloodspike, iway, vimway or whatever built. Everyone fame farm's when a new built come's out. Stop F*@$ing complining.

I was going to rip you apart, and explain to you everything that could he explained.
Until I read "100% pve here". You should have said that first, so I could have skipped the rest of your post.
