I've said it before, I'll say it again.
Hammers already have a drawback to their higher damage. Don't make the attack skills WTFpwn...the base damage does that by itself.
The hammer is the best melee weapon (until scythe) simply because arenanet doesn't know math.

The big drawback they have of course, is lack of a shield. I never thought this too big of a deal a while back, but anymore I see it as a big weakness. I wouldn't say hammers are the end all melee weapon. Were that true, sword and axe would never see any play. As far as hammer being the best, thats far from true (unless you're talking for strict damage).

This would be more than a little overpowered IMO. The only hammer skill that touches that level of damage is Fierce Blow, and that's conditional.

Good article and a good read. I see a few points that might require anet's attention:
I agree that Staggering blow is broken. Weakness is such a lousy condition that the skill needs either a damage buff (like gash), or a serious cut in cost (to at most 4 adrenaline, preferably 3). I could see the balance issues if heavy blow wasn't a "lose all adrenaline" attack, but it is.
Alternative deep wound application is also interesting. The big sell is that KD is already a powerful condition, but maybe we could see an elite or an adrenal skill for deep wound?
I also agree with other posters that warriors have changed very little since prophecies. This just plays into the typical business mentality that far more gamers are into PvE, so PvP takes a backseat. Until there are fundamental detriments to the warrior line (such as gale was), I doubt we'll see anything but variants on old skills.
