Actually I'm reasonably certain you're wrong, sorry. Most of the top guilds you beat are probably running builds that cannot deal with bloodspike, have an err7, make a common mistake, etc. An extremely good bloodspike WILL make you stay on your toes, I won't deny it, but a good balanced with either one or two dedicated interrupts or heavy damage should beat any top notch bloodspike hands down.

Assuming that your team is clever enough not to ball up, RC/extinguish as soon as OG hits and infuse. I don't see any problem. Only perfect spikes are uninfusable, but as others have said, there are enough ways to prevent them from pulling off a perfect spike. Leave it as it is I say as it's not overpowered at all.
Note: when using extinguish you need to find the spiker who has OG cause of the 1 sec casting time now. Cast it when the casting of OG is about halfway and gg.

Whoever has fun playing this 'spike and run' bloodspike all night needs their head looked at. With a claw hammer.

Bloodspike isn't about fun. It's about farming fame.

At least when I complain about something, that something wins because it's overpowered, if not broken. Bloodspike plain out sucks, I'm surprised it wins as much as it does. Cry, choking gas...or my favorite counter - infuse health. If you can't infuse a 4 second spike, you deserve to lose.

And how does running around like idiots for 15 minutes on Burial = efficient fame farming?

Uh, I don't see the point here. We had soundly beaten the B-Spike in about 1 minute. At 1:30 their priest was dead. Now due to having a couple of new rangers who we were helping out, we couldn't reliably interupt Naomei. Yes, the answer is get rangers who suck less, I'm sorry, but they were new to PVP and we were willing to accept that (we then went on to get kicked out of holding halls for the same rangers, but hey, they won't make the mistakes again, you learn from it) and help them out. Their spike sucked, I am a good infuser, the chances of them getting a kill was approximately zero. The game finished at 16:30.
So we have 15 minutes they wasted, which in that time they could have been beyond burial mounds if they resign spiked at 1:30. I understand how fame increases with wins, but extending your own deaths by 15 minutes does nothing to increase your rate of fame and just annoys the other team.

Agreed vs b-spike on burial where they ran into the unused area and kept running/healing until there spirit spammer got tired of this bs and decided to give the win to us by placing frozen when we started to drop a few of them
the game took us 30 minutes so they may aswell had resigned much earlier

1) get rangers who suck less.
2) some blood spike teams don't know when to quit. This holds true for any team with Lively Was Naomi, actually. Mass hard rez ftl.

Actually, Bspike IMO is about holding an alter. 5-7 Monk elites is what it's all about. It holds well and that's why it's played. Whoever suggested extinguish is spot on. Watch for the weakness and extinguish fast. Take out the caller fast from that point. No Enfeebling, no OG. OG also doesnt stand up well to hard pressure.
If you face SS/LS/BS spike, you're infuser should catch it or be fired IMO. Bloodspike has been around for ages. Heck, in PvE Dryders and the Ashen Hulks Bspike lol.
