overhex builds maybe?
one is a maliase/wither necro and the other is a SS necro. That combined with 2 illusion mesmers.
you cant swap it off if its covered by 2-3 other hexes...

Yeah u can. The only skill that punishes focus swapping is mind wrack, and illusion mesmers dont run that.

yeah, but most pug b spikes are too stupid to swap anything off, so they just hope to god they get a convert on them.
ANYWAYS, two cg rangers+infuser=gg b spike. if anything, just make a team with that and you'll get some semi-decent fame just rolling b spike after b spike, unfortunately them running around for 20 minutes gets pretty irritating, especially at the second map, where they run around that giant open area.

Yeah i hate it when bloodspike run into the burial mounds. If i wanted to chase after people i'd AB, seriously.
Nothing needs to b done about bloodspike, they just have to realize when they are losing and resign, not run around for 20+ minutes.

It is even worse when you face a bloodspike that has subbed out a N/Mo for an E/Mo with obsidian flame and ward against foes. Particularly annoying on some of the tighter maps. They continuously cover their own tracks with the ward and just run around.
Taking a 3 month lapse from HA and blood spike completely changes their tactics. 3 months ago, you could just mash all 8 of your players into their faces and interrupt enfeebling blood, shadow strike, and whatever other skills you wanted while your melee players mashed their faces in. Now all they seem to do is run away. I recommend the build name be changed to RUNway.

Yeah, they should take out the rit and have a windborne spammer. Ditch muddy terrain and they would be the most annoying build ever. I also never knew that a blood spike could gank around for 20 minutes on Underworld.. I guess there running tactic is spreading to every map.

Ritualist balance updates probably nerfed Bloodspike e-management. Dunno yet how Rit lord guys work in practice, but I can't see them running with QZ anymore.

You must not HA much. Nobody runs QZ anymore, it's all Oppressive Gaze. Since the update, a Rt/R takes Energizing Wind to reduce the cost of Shelter. And Bspike has always had a BiP necro for energy management, plus most groups use level 0 bone minions now to fuel Soul Reaping now as well.

well another problem thats becoming annoying is running bloodspikes
i dont want to hear no crap about "oh they are just using tactics", its clear ha wasnt designed more for an arena style deathmatch games and not some constant running marathon with an occasional spike
earlier on scarred earth i seen a team waiting to fight the winner of the 2nd half that involved a lame running bloodspike team and they actually resigned because it was taking too long. If that doesnt speak volumes then i dont know what does.

That pretty much sums up nerf calls. By the time a build gains a name, its time to stop calling for proffesion nerfs and start calling for team build nerfs.
B-Spike has been balanced. The Rit Lord was primary battery and a powerful prot for the team. That is greatly reduced now; the rit lord forced to swap skills to less powerful spirits or rely exclusivly on EW being up and safe to act effectively.
The problem with the "nerf"--as others may see it--is that Anet didn't decide to totally obliterate the build. They reduced its power; took some of its flexibility away and made it even more rigid in the process.

Bloodspike is just another build out there if you cant infuse a blood spike then you suck so gg :P
If you pressure them enough they wont be able to spike after first few infuses anyways, as for iway just remoe the skill completely lol

The majority of blood spike teams blow. Not all of them do this "spread and run" tactic but its annoying, especially in Burial Mounds. They do usually manage to get at least one kill off spikes but they usually lose.

First off, i do b-spike quite alot and i find it rather/very funny to see all you people (some from famous HA guilds says things like "If u cant beat b-spike u shouldnt do HA" or "Get a decent infuser and win". My guild beats many "famous" ha guilds and "famous" ha people, so you are basically dissing your own infuser and your guild aswell with every comment. We beat topguilds on daily basis, but imo b-spike is not overpowered. Its just a build that sux if u cant play it and its good if u can. U know i'm right.
