Destructive chop, the new IWAY elite?
Destructive chop-
You lose all adrenaline and all Energy. If this attack hits, you deal +5...41 damage and cause a Deep Wound for 5...17 seconds. This attack always results in a critical hit.
taking a look at this skill im thinking its looking like a nice finisher- it almost always results in an instant kill against targets below 50% health, so running a couple of the IWAY warriors with this on (combined with a zealous axe) could effectively become a nice quick kill
thoughts???

It's not a bad skill, though I don't think it's a better choice than Eviscerate unless you're exclusively doing spike. Never having energy reserves on a warrior weakens your ability to pressure pretty significantly, especially in an IWAY build if you're running TF. It also doesn't synergize well with Frenzy either, since you're stuck in it unless you want to focus swap or something.
It's nice to have an alternative to Eviscerate though, and I think this will find it's way into a lot of pure adreno-spike builds.

well, i can see your point there, but one thing i don't quite get, don't most IWAY teams run bestial fury (cant remember name atm) in place of frenzy? eaither way i can see your point there......... well, ill try it out and report back, thats if i can get the faction required!

Yes, but remember that IWAY is all about applying mass pressure. Giving up your energy reserve prevents you from using Tiger's Fury as much, which is going to make you do less damage to the enemy team. Even when pressuring a spike is important, but I don't think the difference in damage is enough to justify the time spent out of TF, and being less capable of using skills like Bull's Strike.

Combine this with Taint and Toxicity, Iway will be applying enormous pressure.

Eviscerate is better for pressure. Destructive is only really viable in a pure spike build.

a.net just took dmg equivalent to 3-4 wand strikes from evisc. so eviscerate is still >> than this one.

evis is better for IWAY but this skill will still find it's way into some builds.

You can negate the energy loss through weapon swapping of a -5e weapon and a -e focus. It gives you a decent bit of energy to swap back into after you blow destructive. Obviously it only helps minimally, but it could possibly make Destructive worth it.

However, Paragons could boost IWAY pressure and then some.

IMO, the only nightfall skill that will appear in some iway teams is probably sweltering heat (put it on the second trapper), double adrenal for 4 warriors is just way too good (+ this spirit would make other warriors builds viable for iway, like a dragonslash warrior).

Destructive Chop does seem like a rather devastating skill, if people found a good way to overcome the energy loss, IWAY just might overcome the mega nerfing it has recieved over time. I mean if Shock Warriors can get over exhaustion, I'm sure we'll be seeing destructive chop in IWAYing pretty soon.........................................

Incorrect. Just swap weapons from 15%/E-5 to 15^50 after destructive and you'll have enough energy to stance dance

it's a good thing iway players aren't smart enough to weapon swap when they spike.

I believe Destructive Chop goes up to +65 or something when at 16 Axe. I can't remember exactly, all I remember is that it's a HUGE amount of damage.
