Instead of needing 3 other people you only need 1 now. You can get that one guy by sending random invites and hitting enter as soon as someone joins. Then, whether they leave or not, you get to play.

The insane amount of hench groups is really making tombs boring. I'd rather fight IWAY and bloodspike than this shit, it feels like pve.

But really, most teams can be defeated with a few good teammates and the healer hench. I played against r9-10 smite, and won with only the healer hench.

I think the 3 sided 4 minute broken tower is loads better than the old boring 2 sided 10 minute thing. More action ftw imo

6v6 has several good sides imo

-> easier to form team as you need less people
-> easier to kill other team, no more insane defensive holding builds. As a result, some new build appeared or got more popular (A/W is a good example)

The update to broken tower is also very good imo, especially combined with the fact that it shows sooner in the rotation:

-> gives experience of altar matches to new people like my guild (the only previous way to do so for us was to get a lucky skip to courtyard)
-> much more fun with 3 teams as it involves mind game and strategy. It also gives us more chance to win when facing a holding build as there is a possiblity of ganking it 12v6. I'll grant you that it adds a luck factor though.

As for henchway, it is popular because the 6v6 is new. It'll erode with time as people realize that they can compose teams quicker than before and as Fotm stabilize in this new environment.

Overal, this change gets my thumbs up. It works very well for me.

the people behind this change must have had no clue of how HA should be. People were all complaining about cleaning up the gimmicks in HA but this change did not help. Can it be any more cheap than having a map where some noob team can screw up the whole round for a highly skilled team or a team luck out and win when they wouldnt stand a chance in 1v1?
Hoh alone is more than enough alter maps for HA. They need to take out both courtyard and broken tower and design something else. I wouldnt even mind keeping the 2nd map a 3way as long as its not so luck-noob-gimmick friendly.

Broken tower is indeed stupid, so is courtyard, so is scarred earth, so is halls. All ha has going for it is relic runs. 6v6 is shite tbh.

Gah! Relic runs are my least favorite thing to do in HA.

I like towers and the new 6-6 format. 6-6 mainly because I've been able to play more frequently as its easier to to get friend and guild groups together, and that its lead to some new things being run. Not saying that 6-6 won't get stale, but I at the moment its not. Towers because it does require more work. Teams of new players that do the wrong thing will be around, but hopefully they learn. Its not the maps fault.

Personally i find the new 6v6v6 Broken Tower much more fun. Ok, it's not a sure win and the other teams might be worse and take you out because is stupid and doesn't really play intelligently (then again sometimes you win because a team is stupid and helps you with the other team even though you're holding...)

Before it gave such a huge advantage to holding builds if they just capped the altar first that it was pretty stupid. You spent the next 10 min vainly trying to kill something with Fertile-Symbiosis-Shelter-Union up while the other team gained steady Morale Boosts and had a free rez every 2 min. And if you capped first, it was all easy from there. Seriously, at least now the map has some action. More fighting and less staring is a good thing imo.

And overall the map is far from tacticless now. It has its own strategies of wether to cap first or not and when, evaluate which team/players to take down first to manage to hold, etc. And hell, it's the second map, if you lose in it it's no big deal, it takes 5 min to get back there and a good team won't consistently lose in there at all. Courtyard is much more annoying being far in the sequence and that can also be lost due to luck or stupid teams.

i never really comment on here about my accomplishments and experiences and i wont let such a post subtly trying to belittle me be an exception
but if anyone knew who i was there wouldnt be any question of my skill or experience

Henchway is great fun, been trying to win HoH with a random AFK person or second account and 4 hench for a while now, been trying for hallskips at dead hours and american primetime, never seem to get it tho

When this comes from your mouth I don't think you have that much of experience. How can you say that you're a good player? Only someone else can judge you... If you you have high rank it doesn't mean you're skilled or anything. Hopeless is rank 12 as well.

i dont know why yall are attacking me as if what i said was wrong i simply took the high road with defending some abased comments towards me

but if you must know im in NN guild and have no main nick i use in guild wars and almost always change to something else when i reroll
one nick i used just a few days ago was mark foley with a build i helped make that has been highly successful
