More than 50% of the posts opposed to the unwelcomed change were deleted this way. ( whole 3 threads ). This policy goes hand in hand with the scribe's funny article " everyone is happy ". Its obvious that anet's PR department want to create false impression of content at every cost, writing lies on the official website, and silencing people on "unoficial" forums. Funny thing is, theres more freedom of speech on "pve" gwonline where D.Holtzman and some friends from And Then raise good points against the change. Oh, and no one is deleting posts there.

Because the vast majority of them were quite simply pointless crying.

I find it quite honestly hillarious that you are implying that I am somehow employed by Anet to censor the forums.
I am going to say this once more, just once. I have repeatedly said I disagree with the change, but I will not tolerate dozens of garbage threads about the same issue. If you wish to discuss it, you have this thread in which to do so. End of story.

Please, feel free to post there.
There is simply no need to start multiple pointless threads about the same issue, that just clutter up the forum. Especially when the vast majority of them are just flaming, whining or already covered somewhere else.
If you can't post in a mature manner, do not post at all.

Hmmm
Ok this is what is really annoying me here.
Gaile has started a poll on the guild-hall forums to gauge the reactions of the "community".
I personally find that forum to be the home of most of the GVG crowd, in fact I think this forum has the most HA regulars posting, it also has the most popular PvP section (correct me if im wrong).
I'm sorry but isnt this supposed to be the [Elite Fansite]? TGH lost its elite status a while back.
Why are there no polls here?
Because they know what the result would be?
I could of told you the results posted on TGH would be positive without a poll.
Oh the link if you want to be heard is here
http://www.guild-hall.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43440
(Nothing about this poll in the game and dev tracker section either...)

@ JR
The deleted thread (6v6 is going to stay for good) had nothing to do with the 6v6 gameplay, but with the way how Anet announced that 6v6 will be permanent. The way how Anet communicates with its audience was being discussed in that thread. Therefor it wasn't a pointless thread IMO, since this thread generally goes about the 6v6 gameplay, not about Anet.
I don't see any reason why we shouldn't flame Anet, as long as it's not too insulting. Anet has all our e-mail adresses. Simply send everyone a poll, wait for the results to come in and voila, they know what the audience wants. But noooooooo, they make their descisions on a few irrelevant polls and the doublefame weekend. On top of that, they write in the Scribe (or should I say Pravda?) how everyone is so happy about the changes. GG, insult our intelligence some more. And to make things even worse, they announced the change to 6v6 only 3 days in advance, giving the audience hardly any time to respond to their plans.
This may all sound like whining, and in fact, it is. Cause I'm freakin pissed off!
I don't get angry quickly but this time it has gone too far.

They dont want the real results. They dont care about HA community, they never did. They want to be happy with the change their made, and they want to live in denial ( Pravda aka the scribe - anets propaganda pamphlet ). Thus the poll in tgh where only elitist gvg crowd hang. The poll there is worthless, becasue most of gwhall forum regulars dont play HA AT ALL, and doesnt care about it. But seriously, the companies that want to live in denial, and ignore part of their customer base wont be sucessful for very long. Gamers tend to have good memory. Sony made that mistake with SW:Galaxies?

At first I thought that the scribe was there for the role-players, but now he's turning into 1 big propaganda machine. This is bad for a game like GW, which relies on his strong community. After all, this will be in disadvantage of A.net because other mmo's will lure ppl away from GW. Can't wait for that moment tbh.

Oh no, some GW pvpers disagree with you! How dare they?! Quick, better make up some "facts" to "prove" that their opinion is invalid!

The OLD ha community seems to be really taking offence that the majority of people who play this game like the change and anets taking that in as valid. Not to be a troll but you people need to get out of these hissy fit rants that seems to have taken hold. I for example mainly played team arena as I disliked the 8 man setup in ha it always felt overcrowded and the game play was quite stale.
The games moved slow and was more based on "Skills" rather then "Skill" as with 3 monks in some groups any idiot could just heal without any real monking abilities and would usally work fine aslong as the infuser wasn't stoned.
Now with less players it comes more down to each person skill level. There is also alot of nice new build options. There will always be the fotm(seems to be dual smite atm even though well of profane=gg). Some really varied mix spikes are forming and really almost any setup can work with the right players. Its nice to see the game play evolve. Rember just cause you have your r10 or whatnot doesn't mean your opion is the only one anet should listen to.

well of profane=gg? Don't think so, you first gotta die or they first gotta die, so no use for that in 1 on 1's.
So less players and you're more dependent on the skill of individuals? Makes GvG a n00b place then compared to the new HA. And btw, we played loads with drunk infusers and interupts, no problem.
I don't see the gameplay evolving, I only saw a switch to 6v6 and establishing of the metagame, which means everybody runs the same, no evolution here.
I'm r9, and I think A.net should listen to the ppl that do not agree, make a new arena 6v6, ok for me, no problem, just solve the problem for everybody, not just for the pve unranked scrubs.

GvG isn't always a straight 8v8 due to splits, flag running ect. With HA its an all out brawl which is a far cry from GvG. In the alter maps its not uncommon for bodies to pile up on the alter which is they only palce dual smites really have a decent advatage with 4 monks spamming on the ghostly. Once the profanes down its fairly easy to drop the ghost. Honestly in 6v6 its more realiant on having a strong group of players as if one person on the team sucked 1/6 is worse then 1/8. The infuser comment was more of a joke as all you needed was a semi comitent infuser and it didn't matter much.
Also with your comments at the end proves my point the minorty of the gw population feels that because they dislike the change that anet should ignore the rest of the players. I'm not a pve unraked scrub and enjoy this change my rank may not be 9/10/11+ however I barley spent time at ha as it wasn't that enjoyable compared to ta. However with the changes its actaully enjoyable to play. I'm not saying you don't have the right to dislike the change but getting pissed at anet for listening to the MAJORITY even iif its "pve unraked scrubs" or gvgers as HA is a part of the same game not a secret club house.

PvP unranked scrubs then?
My main point is, after a week now, there's only 1 extra district in international, it's staying the same as before, PvE dudes wont pvp because of this, ppl leave and ppl come, it balances out and just as much players as before are playing HA in 3 weeks.
I don't get it why they didn't implement a new arena? I mean, PvE gets new content and all, we PvP-ers just get new skills and PvE content where we don't care about. Is it that hard to make the PvP-ers happy? Could A.net show us that they CARE about their players, do they want us to buy chapters in the future? Then DO something for PvP-ers. We're not asking much, new skills (which are both for PvP and PvE) and some nice new forms of PvP EXTRA, not replacing other forms. PvP community isn't that big as PvE, but we're not asking much from Anet right? Just a new arena for 6v6 so we can play both. That's all.

So your main point is that things have remained the same? How is this a problem?

By your own admission, a small, perhaps diminishing number of people play HA. Perhaps the change to 6v6 has alleviated this, perhaps not. Is dividing the community further into 8v8 and 6v6 going to help? I put it to you: it will not.

I think the ones most pained by this are the high ranked players... I'm a couple hundred off of Rank 8, and after giving this 6v6 now 1 week to set in, it kills me that I still want/need my Tiger bad enough that I'm stuck playing.
The ones who I can see loving this change the most would be the new/lower ranked players who's teams may not neccesarily have the neccesary skills to pull off decisive wins. Two maps I'll make reference to are Broken Tower and Scarred Earth. I find winning/losing those maps are really whether you're lucky or not... And, with this random luck thing floating around, it gives low ranked teams the possibility of advancing further in with a weak team.
(I'll use an example, which in the end benefited my team, but is a good example of this random luck... Broken Tower. 1 minute left, my team [blue] is holding the altar. Red somehow got confused, and instead of trying to kill our ghostly and cap for themselves, they spent the last minute running around like chickens with their heads cut off chasing yellow around the map while we stood there twiddling our thumbs like "are they gonna attack us now?.. hmm I guess not." It was like we didn't even exist.)
I've had a ton of matches now where my team has SOLID players mostly R9++ and a solid strategy, and all it takes is for another team to barge in and gank us 2:1 in Scarred Earth for us to lose. GG.
I'm hating this change because these wins aren't all based on skill level and strategy anymore. It's luck, and that frustrates me to no end. They should have left HA as an 8v8 map so that pvp'ers still have something challenging (skill-wise), and they should have made a 6v6 arena for those who need something "closer" to what HA is really like to better prepare a team for what lies ahead.
EDIT: Oh and I saw people earlier saying that they like the 6v6 change because it means less players on a map and that it was too crowded when it was 8v8. I don't see how its less players now that they have a 3-way Broken Tower (18 players vs the 16 originally), and a more or less 3-way Scarred Earth... Not to mention you now have 3 different team strategies vs'ing each other as opposed to 2 team strategies. Its a bloody cluster-mess now.
