Broken Tower always was a 3 team map. They changed it into 2 teams for some reason.
I dono how long you are playing but Burial used to be 6 teams and as you know you can just walk to the other 2 teams without any doors blocking you.
They did remove it now and finally added the timer in Courtyard. (10 min wait ftl) Its back to old style Tombs with 6 man teams. I dont mind i like it.

i think the double fame weekend was successful in a sense that it was giving out DOUBLE fame and most HA players liked that idea even though a 6 player team require a different build. Let's get the fact straight here, it was popular because of the double fame, not the team shrinking to 6. sure, many liked the team being 6, but just about many others didn't like it. nonetheless, they kept HAing because of the DOUBLE fame, not due to the team size of 6.
this permanent change of HA to 6 players is a total misinterpretation of a.net trying to so called "improve" pvp gameplay. HA is supposed to be different from gvg/ta's and it was always fun separating these 2 from each other. not all players like both types of pvp while they're clearly different and now HAing feels like gvging, gg. i'm just about another person who feels sick of this idea and look into playing a different game.

LOL! I dunno why that's so hard to understand! 15 ID's were because of the 2x fame, not 6v6 lol. A serious misinterpretation.
I'm at work and havent been able to play yet today, but Im willing to bet by the end of the weekend we're back to 4-5 ID's and AD1 full of "Heal monk LFG's".

The new HA is nothing more but a strained out Team Arena. Theres really no difference anymore. I want to play 8v8, thats it, and I don't want to have to GvG to play 8v8. The 4 minute timers are a joke. By the time you get you hero to the altar on courtyard you have 3 minutes left. And no more Burial Mounds? You took out my favorite map in the rotation. Further more, theres nothing distinguishable about HA anymore. The 3 monk backline has been reduced to 2, which everyone runs a boonprot now, just like a gvg. So now I am left wondering, what is HA?
By the way, bloodspike still works. I did 1 run with it last night and made it to Sacred Temples, where we lost to Ugly Ducklings

I can't say the changes were bad, seeing as we held HoH as a guild for the first time today. Sure we only held once, but we used a build which took about 2 minutes to think up and had a lot of fun along the way.
Broken Tower:
It's much easier for two teams to gang up on the other team than the other alter maps, however this isn't necessarily always a bad thing.
Scarred Earth:
We always seemed to take a long time on this map, as a result we would always get another team rushing in during our lengthy fight. Surprisingly, even with three teams fighting each other, it still takes a long time for one team to go down. You can easily escape the mayhem by backing off when the third team enters.
One team was even courteous enough to stay out of the fight until the other one had finished.
HoH:
Looks like you have to wait about 7 mins after winning HoH for the next round to start. :s And of course there's less drops from the chest now, which is appropriate.
If there's one thing I've noticed so far, it's that balanced is currently in, there were more balanced teams today than I've ever seen in HA. Although there was still a lot of variety between those builds.

for those complaining about ganking, it's still now half as bad as it was before... when anet changed burial mounds to two teams instead of six, broken tower to two teams instead of three and scarred earth to four teams instead of six they left pretty big holes in the mecanics... thy did a good job fixing these problems.

The "new" maps arent new at all, just few minor tweaks. Ha isnt very overcrouded ( on a 1st day of update!!! ). This place feels just like another TA. Gone are UNIQUE Heroes Ascend builds, everyone is running boonprots or blessed light LIKE EVERYWHRE ELSE. Boring, boring, boring. Instead of compleatly new arena, with its own flavour, we got dumbed out gvg/ta hybrid.
NICE F*CK UP ANET.

What do you mean by "players like this"? Sounds like you're implying that our team or build is bad. FYI, we've been winning HoH and beating R9+ teams consistently for several months, however we admittedly haven't been able to hold previously.
Our team isn't bad, our build wasn't bad, we fought our way there and played well.
No offense taken though, seeing as you can't judge what you don't know.

Basically what this comes down to is the following. HA players want to keep HA to themselves. They don't care whether other people don't get a look in. With 6v6 a lot more people will get the chance to play and gain fame, but we can't have that can we?
My guild is part PVE and part PVP and we have a good community feel, for this reason I do not wish to leave. Despite some good PVP players we often do not get the chance to PVP because there are simply not enough people online at the same time who can. Just because the core of our guild isnt a bunch of pubescent 14 y/o who sit in their rooms day in, day out with all the time in the world to spare does not mean we don't want to have some PVP fun when we log on. 6v6 therefore makes PVP more accesiable to us as it is more likely there will be 6 willing PVP volenteers at any one time. I think this will also be the case for a lot of other people.
Also to those whingers and moaners out there that are now complaining there is less room for innovation. This is rubbish, firstly because it will be a different style of play and secondly because skill sets will have to be scrutinised to a higher degree, ensuring all skills are necessary in a given build. People will have to be clever with their builds and dare I say it, innovative. Also as I recall from playing against other teams and watching countless matches in observation mode, HA 8v8 had grown stale and boring. Most builds fell into several categories and were very similar in nature and in no way innovative.
I feel that 6v6 is a good change and that there a lot of quite selfish players out there, who have simply responded to this thread angrily rather than actually thinking before typing. And might I remind people that it more than likely that some form of 8v8 match that isnt GVG will probably be added at some later date, maybe even as a NF update. Did you ever think of that? There have already been a lot of changes since this game began, why can't there be more?
*Awaits ill thought out responses with baited breath*

yea, i dont mean offense at all, but what u said it's easy for ppl to misunderstand. becoz most team/guild do spend more than 2 min on their build, and win hall ........... well......... more frequent (from ur 1st post u said for the 1st time so.....).
peace

Why oh why is everyone under the impression HA will suddenly become easier for new players to find teams and win?
Its actually been made worse with the removal of burial because any new or unprepared team might get a win out of UW but wont stand a chance when they get to Broken.

Them planning to change to 6v6 was bad, now that they have updated it, it turns out worse than what I predicted. I expected nice map changes that make everyone happy but wtf do we get?

If you take the time to read my entire post and not put words into my mouth, then you'll see I explained why getting teams in a guild context would be easier and I never said it would be easier to win.

Excuse me sir, but nobody wants to keep HA "all for themselves". I could care less whether every guild in guild wars plays HA at the same time. This has nothing to do with people wanting to lock other players out.
I'm sorry your guild is PvE based, but you choose to be in a PvE / PvP guild - For the most part which will never work at the higher levels. Guilds like this have their place - In GvG and TA. HA was never intended to be TA.
Also, LoL at being prepubescent sitting in our rooms all day long "Hoarding" HA! This reverts back to people who don't play alot complaining about not being able to find groups. HA is not casual, never will be, and if you want to play on a regular basis, you'd better start building your friends list or join a likeminded guild. All it takes is joining a district and being social with players. HA is a social network.
