6 man obsidian flame.
I am quite new to the game, but could you not use a 6 man team all with obsidian flame and use glyph of energy and maybe arcane echo?

Well im not exactly a guild wars genius by a long shot, but you do realise that obsidian flame cause exhaustion, therefore one or two obsidian with echos would leave you with little or no energy and your damage has gone leaving you with just your hands to tickle the nuts of the enemy. i think......

Yes for sure but glyph for energy takes 15 secs recharge, leaving you with 10 secs either to spike causing exhaustion or to wait for the recharge, i dont think this is an effective way of spiking as all 6 chars prob wont get their glyph recharged at the exact same time.
Plus You can use arcane echo with the glyph first time but prob not after that as youll have the echo spell for 20s then 30s recharge. The first one or two spikes might be ok but i just cant c it been effective at any length of time.
I guess you would need a full build to see if this would work.

Glyphs are not "spells" as far as i know, so you can't Arcane Echo them.

If thats correct, then this build would be usless, no point using arcane echo on obsidian as would cost to much energy and give to much exhaustion.

I can see it working, The big problem is healing however, If you were to go Ele/Mesmer I would go with Mantra of Resolve, Glyph of Energy, Obs flame, every other spike u should be able to use glyph. I still think that due to the lack of healing this build has it will be fairly inneffective in a 6v6 format.

There is an earth spike build like this - but works alot better in 8v8, used in GvG sometimes.

well you could use glyph of concentration, but you would be far better off with a ranbow spike, you can get more utility in.

Theres always wards, and since they are earth based, each elementalist/mesmer could fit 2-3 in his bar, pretty decent utility, however then you are stuck with 1 monk to manage the healing. Or you could just go secondary monk and bring heals, however then you are vulnrable to interrupts. Its a good idea and all, but I just don't see it working in 6v6. However in 8v8 this would probably work great.

It won't really work in 6 v 6. You would definitely need a monk and that would mean 5 spikers and basically all enemies will have more than 500 hp

I cant see how that would work.
U might pull of one spike, then ur exausted, ull need 2 wait a while while ur skills recharge, and in that time ull be slaughterd.

One spike and exhausted? you actually have no idea what you are talking about, Obsidian Flame only causes 5 Energy Exhaustion, technically you can pull off 16 spikes (Without casting non-exhausting skills), with 80 Energy.

It doesn't work because you have no healing. You have plenty of room for utility and support, but those lack of monks kill the build.
