I had an hour to waste last night, bored, nothing to do, so when a buddy whispered me to run "ghetto bspike" (his words) I agreed. You'd have to be very lucky to get wins with bspike or play during dead hours. Once even 1 necro is killed off, the spike is harder to pull off, and pretty soon the entire team crumbles. I really don't think that many teams will lose to bspike anymore, and if they do, they certainly don't deserve to advance. It's simply too easy to beat it now.

I think for the moment Bloodspike is dead, but it still has a chance with nightfall and paragons

why?

SoC+Massive Energy management skills (one battery paragon provides obscene amounts of energy) + Assisting a spike (and more importently, adding deep wound)

a paragon can provide more energy than a ritualist, and assist spiking adding the godly deep wound (Cruel Spear)

You ... don't get it, do you, Tainek? bspike crumbles too easily now. Doesn't matter if there are interrupts or not. It's ridiculously easy to heal through a bspike, in the meantime, you only need to kill 1 necro to stop the spike. In 8v8, there was more healing, more of a defined backline (usually brought a ranger spirit spammer, and a rit spirit spammer, as well as an ele with gale/enervating/wards), a non-bspikers group of character, if you will. Now, that that's gone, bspike is easier to beat than henchway. Doesn't matter if you can't get interrupted. 1 kill on you = 1 win against you.

Hmmzz bspike wont die.. why?
Becouse its still effective.. well more effective then a "standerd" balanced build..
I like bspike couse it go's fast. you either win or loose..

but what i dont like.......

also i havent seen 1 post on this forum yet saying that this skills is imba :S ??!?!
Ah well i guess that this searing flames is the new meta... So it shouldnt be nerfed.. couse when it does get nerfed... all the random peeps would loose aggain to those lamers that do bspike..

Also Give Iway a little push in the back.. iway vs Bspike was hell more fun than fighting henchies :S.. I wanna see math win halls aggain :P

There is no shame in running a build that works. As long as that build achieves the purpose it was meant.

With that said..Bspike has died, bspike has risen, Bspike will come again.

Bspike hasnt died.. It haas become unpopulair to roll, but surly hasnt died.. :P
There like 4 Bspike guilds that still do bspike in halls...

Its just that after they changed it to 6vs6, bspike got harder.. But after nightfalls, "searing lames".. It got even harder.. Couse you mostly automactly ball up if you spike 1 target.. and there aren't real good anti searing flames skills in the necro, or monk proffesions..

Ah well if they nerf that imba searing flames.. then bspike will be allot more easyer to win with

Also the 1 of the reasons you dont see many bspikes win halls is becouse of saccred temples is realy hard for bspike, couse you have to split to open the door

i see a lot of builds running throuh HA now that are all monks and for mainly holding HA as in no dmg dealing skills....how do they even get to halls? just heal each other until people get pissed and leave? or w8 for HA skip? very intresting...

And Nurse, it's not the new bspike as in it was as effective as bspike was in 8v8. It's because now in 6v6 it's one of the true spikes that are somewhat effective. And like bspike, it's a very nice holding build.

I ran it during the preview (why do I ever listen to vindexus...) and it worked well. It is easy to fit inscriptions to make the spike every 10 seconds which is sufficient.

Unless there was a nerf to Sig Mystic Wrath since the peview, it was a pretty front loaded spike. More importantly, it is a signet, reducing the ability to interrupt it and make it more infusable.

As for the good bs being hard to infuse...I am not really following that comment. Is good blood spike the original with QZ Shadow Strike + Vamp or Og Gaze. Shadow Strike + Vamp is a crappy spike, a good monk (versus a good team) can catch the spike with 3/4 second casts. The spike has very little intention to kill, but drain the infuser's energy. Og Gaze was imbalanced not because of the AoE, but it makes a bspike front loaded enough to kill. The catch 22 is that by the time Og Gaze came around, all the good bspike players were gone and almost all groups were pugs, making it infusable.

Regardless BSpike will never be dead. It will always have a home in 8v8 GvG for farming lesser teams.

In 8v8 bloodspike wasnt suppsoed to spike them down everytime it was the ability to spike often and pressure them which was good.
