Heroes may allow more people to play but the quality of the HA experience and the fun factor pretty much disappears.
Also, 1v1 the most sought after element? She must be on crack and anyway, they already have Skirmish and Hero Battles where people can play 1v1 if they want, why ruin a supposedly high level PvP area for it?

Oh let me see. Player comes into HA, having earned a good ammount of PvP experience in Team Areans, he wishes to advance to Heroes Ascent.
What happens?
He can't get a team because everyone DEMANDS, REQUIRES, FORCES you to have a emote that you either IGAYd or ViMGAYd your way to get before it was nerfed.
Oh, did I mention Arrogance was a factor of elitism? hmmmmm???

Why do heroes allow more ppl to play?
6 ppl vs 6 ppl is 12, if all those team would be playing alone there's still 12 ppl playing.
And there's a hero arena allrdy...I mean wth, why allow them in more places:S:S:S
Gaile Gray is ok, but I think she's pretty dumb.

"allow more people to play" is different from "allow the same people to play in 6 man teams".
and yea, english is my tertiary language.

I was always a GvG player so I never gained fame in HA because of the pain it was to get a team. It is great fun to me not to have to wait for huge amounts of time to just get a team for 1 point of fame since now i can go with heroes and hench where i tend to beat human teams semi often and can try fun builds as well where I am in command. I think I have earned about 40 fame in the last few days doing this which makes it so rank 3 isn't so out of reach for a casual HA player.

no no, GvG there allowed to play too.
And as for Gaile well she is about as in touch with this game as, chock vs cheese in fact I'd say pretty much, ArenaNet as a whole doesn't comprehend the first thing, about what the players, in PvP want, not surprising when you learn that 90% of there testers are infact, PvE nublings and are only concerned with the fact that NPC's aren't in the proper locations.

what about the players like me who don't speak a single word of English? There aint no way we could possibly find a human group since we dont speak any English or any other European language, and nobody from our countries play Guildwars. Heroes can help players like us to get a group for sure.

What happens? Well, here's what happened to me:
Player read up on how to play HA
Player goes to HA, joined unranked pugs for battles
Player put good players he met on friends list and whispered them if he wanted to play
Player got rank 3 in about 2 weeks of casual play
That wasn't too hard and didn't involve any rank elitism. I didn't try and join ranked groups because what would be the point? Would you try and join a 7/8 PvE group looking for a monk if you were an MM? The players complaining about rank elitism simply want to join the best groups and get carried through to their emote, ironically not wanting to play with the same people they say the ranked players should be accepting into teams.

If I am not mistaken the Guild Wars website is in more than one language, as well as the game. Meaning, the game isn't distributed exclusively in the western hemisphere. Even within the western hemisphere there are other languages spoken. Please don't bring ethnocentric ignorance into threads.
Regardless of the above, unfortunately, the majority of players will be speaking English as it is the predominant language.
Heroes give people the opportunity to play in HA who otherwise wouldn't be able to do so. Heroes also allow individuals to experiment with builds they otherwise wouldn't be able to with 6 people even less so with 8. The resulting loss of this is that NPC teams will be prevalent for a short time, meaning less human competitive play. Unfortunately the result of this is that the benefit of the consensus out weighs the wants of the few.
I've stated before I am not a fan of Heroes in HA. However, I don't worry too much about hero-way; people will get tired of Ai. You can tell by OBS and playing HA there are far less hero way than there was the previous day, and this will continue to be the trend.

I think ANet think that they made a mistake by introducing PvP into Guild Wars, and are now trying to make amends for it by making the entire game (including the PvP portion) a helluva PvE ride.

Does anyone else find the irony that the big slogan for Nightfall is "You never fight alone" and what it caused was a million people fighting alone in HA?

QFT. I've been ever so lonely since I started Nightfall PvE with my heroes and henchmen.
I'm one of those people that stray away from PvP but I still think that they should remove heroes and henchmen (with the exception of party member replacements) otherwise PvP will evolve in to PvE. Can you imagine the next GW Championship in some exotic country with a load of hype to find that there are only two human players there? Ok, its far-fetched but it could happen. Bye bye co-operative multiplayer PvP.

i'm wondering, what's the point of implementing the Hero arena, after all with the number of hench/heroway going on in HA, that '1v1' is taking place there
looks like team arena is the only hero free zone

I've been away from GW for the last few days, so I'm slightly out of touch. Am I to understand that Anet are going to continue to allow people to take Heroes to HA, despite the huge backlash?

How does a good amount of TA experience equate to being a good HA player? All this means is you have a knowledge of skills and tactics used in TA. Do you think it's just irony that higher ranked teams tend to do better than lower ranked teams?

Really? I see alot of unranked teams heading in. Did you know that every player with an emote started at rank 0? I'm sorry, but I didnt Iway my emote (not that I care anybody did). In 8v8, Iway had plenty of counters and in most instances was not that difficult to beat.

Please explain this.....I've only met one ranked player that talked down to a lower ranked player. Anything more than that is simple joking around. If I spam a Wolf and someone Tigers me who really cares? I'm not going to say ZOMG You're rank1 You suxxores...
Everyone who plays in halls at an average level has put their time in. I dont know why everyone seems to believe this is a place just to randomly pop in and play at the highest level. This is not and should not be some "random" place where you can push a button and excel.
