That was me
I don't really mind the heroes, it's really much more fun to me to kill things that I have to try against, instead of vimway after vimway that we roll over in 30 seconds. Once heroes are more figured out, it'll be much easier to beat them, and people will stop winning with them and thus won't use them as much. Heroes in HA gives us several things: better competition, more teams to play against (less skips,) and in some cases free fame. Yeah you don't get to talk trash to the Dunkoro you just owned, but you have to realize that henchies are WAY different than heroes. Heroes are only good if their owner is good, because the owner controls them. It's not all AI, the single player in the group is forced to play the skillbars for his whole team. A good team with good communication can easily out-tactic a hero team even in HA, simply because if you give the leader too much to do he'll fall apart.
In the end though it all boils down to:
Less Crying Is Key, kThx.

I havn't been in HA for a while as my computer has been down.. but I was wondering, are these heroes the same deadly interupters that we have found the Ghostly Hero to be? As far as I know the Ghostly has a much quicker reaction time than your average player.

That's not exactly true. Heroes are acting like henchies with a better set of skills if you don't bother with them at all. You don't have to tell them what to do. The difference is that you CAN tell them what to do.
But the leader can be very bad and he'll have basically 5 henchies with him that will act like henchies, just with different skill sets. If you give them pretty straightforward skill sets (healing, condition/hex removal on healers and damage/interrupts on offense) they will use them very well on their own.

I think it's a good thing. Gives people who don't run around flashing their l33t rank 3 or aren't in a serious guild a chance to HA.

they have always had a chance to HA...
IF some1 sits and spams "Rank 2 Air spiker lfg pro guild team!" then of course he will have a hard time finding a party simply because even the unranked will think he has no idea what he is talking about.
People seem to forget that we all started at rank 0, and this is the main reason why anet are launching their "screw ranked players" campaign. Hell every1 nagged about not being able to find a party, but we eventually got better and started playing.
Hell MATH was created by unranked IWAYers and they are all rank 9+ now.

For those of you that are thinking "zomg they r noob bots, kill them", that is not the issue. A hero team can be easily taken down no matter how 1337 their interupting skills are.
The issue is that farming heroes is even worse than farming IWAY and henchway combined. It is just so boring to take down NPCs which are on most earlier maps and some golden ones (read Yunas's post). Well at least paladin "Brohn Killer Ironslayer" can get a bambi now... just like farming fow.

It just seems like there's a whole lot of useless crying over this.
I guess it comes down to what you want from your PvP experience. If you want to shine your epeen and pwn newbs then I can see why this update would piss you off. But I'd rather have a hard won match that was challenging. I don't care if it was because some rts guy did a good job building and commanding his team or because there was a guild team on vent. To me it's the thrill of overcoming a balanced challenge, not who's sitting on the other side of the screen.

A lot of GvG "elitists" started off in tombs, and moved on when they got tigers.

lemme rephrase, havent HAed with my guild or played seriously yet,. I have however run some hero teams just 2 c what the fuss is about, and in all fairness i didnt like it at all.
I have been into HA and i have already listed why i dont like heroes in HA. And about shining my epeen, yes you do get more satisfaction from beating real players, and yes i do feel better when i take halls from a human team.
Maybe heroes are a good thing for HA, but i can honestly say that most the PvP community doesnt like the idea. I can even say that i had no trouble killing hero teams with my own hero team, but that would b wanting to shine my epeen...
People have different ideas of fun, and for me playing against heroes (whether u win or lose) is not fun.

Aaaaaaaand we're back at the start. I was rank 1 and rank 2 as well or do you think we all started with high ranks? In the time I was playing only character I had prepared for PvP was mesmer and you can already imagine how many groups used a mesmer in spirit spamming time. None. Now I'm flashing my l33t rank (well,I used to flash it) and I never complained on the rank system.

Really? MY characters came with a "l33t" deer ... right out of the box. I guess ANet likes people who started playing in the first few months of guildwars more than those who play later.

I don't think this is all of it, but I definitely think this is part of the anger. Before this: OMG PvE nubs, lolz PvE so easy. Now a part of PvE has entered HA in a major way in the form of Heros using PvE AI and ranked people who share the 'PvE-sucks' mentality are being, how do we say, pwnzored?
I still prefer real groups - you meet a lot of really interesting people playing that way. However, it's nice now to not have to wait 10-20 minutes to form a group if you just want to jump in and play.

you mean PvE somehow isn't easy anymore because heroes are available for use in PvP?
edit: most importantly, AI mobs do not have a human behind them pulling the strings
ps. nice dig at PvPers

GG if you think henchways are noob.
I have never won with a full party of people before, so yes henchmen have more skill then people, and that is party because their using my skillset that I customised for 6 characters, and I have direct controll over 4 of these in every battle.
Everytime I ask a high ranked player to change to a custom skill set all I get is whining and complaints then they leave. I did my henchway with a rank 0 monk, got to halls and got him 33 fame, which made me very happy to be helping someone thats a better player then every rank 6+ person ive ever met.

Didn't say PvE wasn't easy.
And, I'm a PvPer when I get time to play. Just find it hilarious the response that this is getting.
It's as simple as this - there will always be a group, no matter the change, that don't like it. Can't please everyone, and some people despise change with every fiber of their being. I encourage it as it keeps things fresh.

The rangers try to use interrupts as actual shots, they don't even use them as actual interrupts. If they get an interrupt with savage slash, savage shot, distracting shot, etc. then it is pure luck.
I was referring to actual interrupt skills, which is what people like to jack the ele hero up with to make every battle resemble the Arborstone roof collapse. Things like PD, leech signet, etc. they will NOT use those on attack skills that don't have a fixed casting time. Ever. But they will never misfire an interrupt with them, and they WILL shoot them out of their ass at people who they don't even appear to be "focusing" on.

My r9+ teams have never been flawless by NPC teams. In fact, the only time we lost to one was during a gimmick build test. We redid a couple bars, which would have lost vs real teams as well, and flawlessed NPC teams after the changes. Flawlessed a lot of real teams as well, but that's beside the point.

Once again, no one understands the following: The problem isn't people are getting owned by these Heroway teams. The less experienced people are, but they're not the ones complaining. It's the more experienced people who aren't happy. We don't want to farm NPC's for fame, we want to fight vs. real teams for fame. If we wanted to kill NPC's, we'd play PvE. Understand yet?

You've never won halls with a real party before? I feel sorry for you. And I'm going to guess the r6's you met were IWAYers with their baby puppy emote.
