Default HoH + heroes => end of cooperative play ?

I was very disappointed when I saw this :



It's all good for PvE. But for PvP and especially for HoH, it makes me sad. Team number is now 6 and everyone can see the effectiveness of henchway. With Nightfall, will be HoH crowded by henchway, I mean heroesway ?
Yes there will be always good team made of real players who will defeat heroesway, but I think Heroes based team will pollute HoH as vimway team does.
I love the idea, to play 1vs1 + heroes in a special mod dedicated to heroes. But I don't like to see heroes everywhere in HoH...

The goal of nightfall is to make GW a rts game or a cooperative one ?

when it comes 2 PvP, any decent team with some leve of communication > hero teams. Nothing 2 b worried about.
Though I can imagine that it would b quite annoying to only play hero teams after sometime.
The only problem I can see is those l33t hero interupters, though parking them on priority targets would b pretty hard.

If teams really end up being beaten in HA by teams comprised of 4 heroes, a real player, and a henchman, don't you think it just means those players should get a little better? I mean, the heroes were good, but they weren't that good. I think it's just Arenanet letting you use Heroes for everything you can use henchmen for.

i dont think it's about getting beaten by heroway, it's about it's going to be more lame teams in the world.

lol, you're right. The first thing I thought of when I heard about customizable heroes was NWN Horder of the Underdark (I assume you mean RPG instead of RTS)

I dont think you are getting the point. The only reason people play PvP is to actually play against other players online. How boring would it b to have to face hero-ways twice or three times a run.

Well if they DO want us to have heroes in TA/HA/GvG, I'd vote for limitating the number of NPCs a team can bring. You couldn't have more than 4 henchies out of 8 players in HA: I'd say keep the ratio and don't let us have more than 3 henchies out of 6 players now, and count heroes (you can have up to 3 henchies OR 3 heroes).

But yeah it saddens me too.

That's something i can't say i agree with at all...

Heroes in PvE, i love them a LOT. Heroes in a 1v1 Hero arena? Awesome way to kill time when no one is on and you don't feel like newb bashing in RA.

I love the Heroes concept...

but Heroes in other PvP format? It's pretty easy to imagine that heroes team will 'infest' everything. Everyone unable to find a team will go in with their heroes and hope for some wins... against other people using heroes.

The reason i love PvP is for competition against other players. NOT to bash on AI, or half-controlled-by-player-AI. If they truly introduce Heroes in TA, HA and GvG it's gonna take out a LOT of the fun imo.
