Monk backline
After posting in the Nightfall elite skill analasys thread I took a quick look at what could eb a new monk backline, anyway, I came up with the following:
Monk 1
Mo/me
1:Zealous Benediction (E)
2:Shield of absorption
3:Extinguish
4:Reversal of fortune
5:gift of health
6:Mantra of flame/channelling
7:Inspired hex
8:Mend condition
Monk 2
Mo/me
1:Martyr (E)
2:infuse health
3:Healing touch
4:Healing seed
5:Inspired hex
6:reversal of fortune
7:Channeling/mantra of flame
8: Dwayna’s kiss
Now: since the metagame is pretty much stacking a single cond. mass, mend cond. can easily replace RC, martyr is there to stop searing flames/any other mass cond. spreading build. Zealous to replace the WoH, but in thsi build you are transferring the infuse part to the martyr, and the prot part to the Zealous.
Anyway, what do you think.

I think I miss the attribute points. I also think Mo/A>Mo/Me. I'm also not a huge fan of martyr, but in the current Searing Lames meta it might work out pretty good.

In HA I'd have to say Mo/Me > Mo/A hands down. Channeling is just too good.
Your prot monk looks good to me, but I don't really like the healer. The only way he can heal someone else is with RoF (which is more or less a Random heal) or with Dwayna's. Otherwise he needs touch range for Healing Touch, or he'll infuse.
For healers I've been thinking of either running a second Zealous Benediction, or trying out Healer's Boon. I'd probably only run Healer's Boon with an EF Paragon though.
If you have tons of enchantments I really like
Mo/Me
12+2 Healing
10+1 Divine Favor
8 Inspiration
Healing Light*
Healing Touch
Dwayna's Kiss
Healing Whisper
Infuse Health
Heal Party
Healing Seed
Channeling

There is no good enough in Guild Wars PvP, there's only the best. And if you can improve your build, would you just leave it as it is 'cause it is "good enough"?

Eh. This should be correct, but since anet screwed over the game it isn't. If you have a paragon with energizing finale/aura of zeal, your secondary is inconsequential. Hopefully that will change soon.
Tbh though, Mo/Me just for mantra of flame is a reasonable option still for greater damage reduction.
He is going with Martyr because RC is pretty bad in most situations. It has little use in American gvg atm (and from obs mode I would say the same about European as well). From the small amount of tombs I have played recently, I think the same statement can be made. Tons of small conditions, RC is a waste of an elite. Stacked conditions, RC is useful (aka the old 8v8 HA). The only thing that makes me hesitate about Martyr is it works just as well on a midliner.

RC is energy draining if you want to make a difference. And the WoH is outdated.
Anyway
Attrib. points would be:
1:standard RC attrib, can't recall them ATM
2:hmmm 1 prot spell? perhaps we can fit another heal in there. Anyway, w/o the RoF:
12+1+(1 or 2) HP
12+1 DF
3 Insp. magic
Oh and the idea is offcourse not a single heal and a single prot monk:
the zealous monk heals for the amount WoH did, the martyr monk covers the other skills of a WoH/infuse build+spams martyr vs a SF team.

WoH of heal is still very useful as far as I'm concerned, a cheap big heal.
WoH + Divert Hexes is the best you can do right now I reckon, or LoD + Divert Hexes, condition builds aren't big anymore.

When that one condition is burning, I just do not see martyr as a good counter because the duration is short compared to poison durations or bleeding durations. If everyone on your team is burning from searing flames, then you have got a problem with your team's spacing. Even if all 6 of you were burning, in order for martyr to make a difference you'd have to catch it early in the burn to save much of the health degen. I see extinguish as a better counter since it removes the burn and heals and is not elite. Against a searing flames team, as a monk, I would rather have power return on my bar instead of martyr assuming my own team knows how to spread out.
Martyr works best against teams that combine disease with poison, bleeding, crippled, blindness, and deep wound.

burning is 6 secs.
Martyr will take a lot of pressure from the energy heavy, slow recast extinguish+it will make enemies have less e-management. Now the whole point is that you replace RC with mend cond. take martyr and back it up with extinguish.
MC for single conds, martyr for taking the wind out of the SF sails, and extinguish for mass heal, with such a large SF metagame, it is a good combo to take imo. Oh did I mention the new burning paragorn builds that are popping up right now?
